The invention relates to a comminuting device including a cylinder casing which surrounds a comminuting chamber, in which several rotors can be operated independently from each other with individual drives, said rotors being driven by concentric shafts which are arranged concentrically to the central axis (z) of the comminuting chamber, said concentric shafts having a central shaft and at least one outer hollow shaft surrounding said central shaft. At least one lubricant line for connecting to a lubricant supply is arranged in the central shaft and/or in a shaft casing, the lubricant line being connected by at least one radial lubricant through guide to at least one bearing of the rotors.

Apparatus and method for an apron assembly

An apron assembly comprising an apron mounted to the crusher and adapted to be moved between an operating position and an open position, a tension rod operatively attached to and disposed between the shock absorber mount and the apron, a spring seat mounted to the crusher and adapted to be moved between a raised position and a lowered position, a spring operatively disposed between the tension rod base and the spring seat, an actuator mounted to the crusher and the spring seat and adapted to be moved between a retracted position and an extended position, a shock absorber operatively attached to and disposed between the spring seat and a shock absorber mount. The shock absorber reduces the pressure applied to the actuator. A method for controlling the opening in a crusher comprising providing an apron assembly and moving the shock absorber between a retracted position and an extended position.

Delumper and method of delumping edible material

A delumper includes a housing defining a chamber in which edible material is received. The housing includes a screen having a plurality of holes and a plurality of inwardly extending fingers. The holes are sized such that edible material of a first diameter is capable of passing through the holes and edible material of a second, larger diameter is incapable of passing through the holes. The fingers are arranged in at least a first row, and the first row is located at or between a 5:00 position and a 7:30 position. The delumper further includes a rotatable shaft including a plurality of paddles spaced along a length of the shaft. When the shaft rotates, each of the paddles passes between adjacent fingers of the first row such that edible material located within the chamber is forced into contact with the fingers and cleaved by the paddles.

Hammer for material reducing machines

A multi-piece hammer for use in a reducing machine. The multi-piece hammer includes a base to be mounted to the reducing machine, a replaceable tip to be mounted to the base and to impact the material to be reduced, and a retainer to secure the replaceable tip to the base. The replaceable tip has a cavity with a single rail or groove that corresponds to a single groove or rail on the base.

Process for treating construction and demolition waste material with kinetic pulverization

The present disclosure relates to the treatment of streams derived from construction and/or demolition (C&D) debris, such as C&D fines streams, asphalt shingles, drywall, or wood. The process can include a kinetic pulverization stage through a kinetic pulverizer where the frangible materials are size-reduced and the ductile materials are liberated and remain as an oversized fraction. The feedstock can include infrangible materials that also remains as an oversized fraction. The pulverized material is then subjected to a separation stage, which may include mechanical and/or magnetic screening, to separate the oversized material comprising the ductile material, and optionally larger particles of the infrangible material, from the size-reduced material comprising the frangible material, and optionally small particles of infrangible material.

Mill

A mill includes a housing with a first end portion, a second end portion, and a lateral area disposed therebetween. The housing includes a raw material inlet, an air inlet, a recirculated material inlet, and a material outlet. An impeller is supported by the housing and includes a shaft disposed along the longitudinal axis of the housing, with a plurality of curved blades. A method for milling includes receiving a material of a first size range, introducing the material to an apparatus via a first inlet and introducing air into the apparatus via a second inlet. The method also includes agitating the material via an impeller, where the agitation reduces at least some of the material to a second size range by the time the material reaches an outlet of the apparatus. The processed material is delivered to subsequent processing operations.

Non-forged hammermill hammer

Improved free-swinging hammermill hammer configurations are disclosed and described for comminution of materials such as grain and refuse. The hammer configurations of the present disclosure are adaptable to most hammer mill or grinders having free-swinging systems. The configurations as disclosed and claimed are non-forged and incorporate a saddle or hammer mouth. The merging of a hammer and saddle improves strength to reduce or maintain the weight of the hammer while increasing the amount of force delivered to the material to be comminuted. The improved configurations incorporate comminution edges having increased hardness for longer operational run times. The improved configurations improve installing, removing, and cleaning hammer components within the hammermill. The improved configurations may incorporate hammermill rod hole of varying shapes and sizes and saddles of varying shapes and sizes or the use of non-planar hammer bodies that have a recessed or protruding surface.

More particularly, a method for replacing hammers and spacers includes pre-assembling hammers, spacers, hammer saddles, locking collars, or any combination thereof and temporarily attaching them to one another before placement onto a hammermill rod. Once placed on the hammermill rod, the temporary attachment is broken such that the hammers within the pre-assembled group may move freely with respect to one another.
