System, method and apparatus for controlling the flow distribution of solid particles
A turret includes a generally frusto-conical shaped body and a plurality of static straightening vanes arranged interior to the body, the vanes dividing the body into a plurality of substantially equal sections. The vanes are configured to straighten a swirling flow of solid particles as they enter the body, and to divide the swirling flow into a plurality of straightened flows that are communicated to a plurality of coal outlet pipes.
Methods of improving the solubility and bioavailability of therapeutic agents
This invention relates to methods of preparing nanotherapeutic compounds and compositions comprising nanotherapeutic compounds. The nanotherapeutic compounds prepared according to the methods provided herein are useful for the treatment of disease, for example, cancer, in a subject in need thereof.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COMMINUTING MATERIALS
There is provided an apparatus and method for comminuting a material. The apparatus may comprise a chamber and an inner surface with a plurality of protrusions, and a hammer positioned within said chamber comprising an outer surface having a plurality of second protrusions configured to engage with the first protrusions. The outer and inner surfaces may be separated by a gap distance which defines a comminution zone. The anvil may be rotated to cause a material to be comminuted as the material passes through the comminution zone.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RECYCLING ASPHALT MILINGS
Apparatus and method for recycling asphalt millings containing bitumen and stone. A milling tube is provided having an outer tube and an inner tube axially aligned with and substantially contained within the outer tube, the inner tube having a diameter less that a diameter of the outer tube to thus define a mixing space between the inner and outer tubes. At least one of the inner and outer tubes is adapted to rotate relative to the other. An inlet is provided to the mixing space to receive the asphalt millings. A plurality of inner tube projections project radially outward from a surface of the inner tube toward the outer tube, and a plurality of outer tube projections project radially inward from a surface of the outer tube toward the inner tube. The milling tube facilitates the separation of the asphalt millings into bitumen and stone as one of the inner and outer tubes rotates relative to the other. Preferably, at least one of the outer and inner tubes contains an abrasive coating on a surface thereof, the inner tube projections and outer tube projections are comprised of wire rope, and an inlet is provided in the outer tube through which cold air can be applied to the mixing space.
Grinding roller and mill
A grinding roller is configured so that the fatigue strength of a roller housing can be ensured, and product life can thus be ensured. The grinding roller includes: a roller housing; a roller main body; a pressing plate; a tab hole; and a tab. A line at which fastening stress caused by the pressing plate is concentrated on a base portion of a fixing stopper part of the roller housing and a line at which stress caused by a grinding load received by the roller main body is concentrated on a base portion of the tab hole of the roller housing are disposed in an offset manner so as not to intersect each other.
Additive coated particles for low cost high performance materials
Existing methods of extrusion and other techniques to compound host and additives material uniformly disperse the additive in the host. This innovation uses ball milling to a coat a host particle with an additive dramatically reducing the additive required to achieve a percolative network in the host.
Method for improving the productivity of grinding plants
The present invention relates to a method for improving the productivity of grinding plants, wherein, after the optimum wear geometry of the grinding units has been reached by conventional operation of the grinding plant, the optimum wear geometry is preserved by applying a thin wear protection layer to the surface of the grinding units.
PLANETARY ROLLER MILL FOR PROCESSING HIGH MOISTURE FEED MATERIAL
A planetary roller mill for processing a feed material includes a vessel with a grinding ring having an opening therethrough and a first area. The grinding ring is in sealing engagement with the inside surface of the vessel assembly. At least two non-circular support plates are secured to a rotatable shaft. Each plate has an axially facing surface. A plurality of rollers rotatably are mounted to and positioned between the two support plates. Each of the plurality of rollers are in grinding communication with the grinding surface. The planetary roller mill includes an air supply system having an outlet in communication with the opening in the grinding ring. Areas of the two support plates are of magnitudes which configure a flow area through the opening of at least 30 percent of the first area to provide a predetermined quantity of heated air to remove moisture from the feed material in the grinding assembly.
Preparation of metal chalcogenides
A method embodiment involves preparing single metal or mixed transition metal chalcogenide using exfoliation of two or more different bulk transition metal dichalcogenides in a manner to form an intermediate hetero-layered transition metal chalcogenide structure, which can be treated to provide a single-phase transition metal chalcogenide.
