ADAPTERS AND INSTRUMENT MODULES FOR USE IN A CENTRIFUGE BUCKET
An adapter is connectable to any one of a plurality of different instrument modules so that the connected adapter and any one of the plurality of different instrument modules is positionable within a centrifuge bucket. The adapter includes, for example, a support positionable in a first portion of the centrifuge bucket so that the any one of the plurality of different instrument modules is positionable in a second portion of the centrifuge bucket, a processor attachable to the support, a power source or a connector to a power source operably electrically connected to the processor, an interface operably connected to the processor for receiving data from the any one of the plurality of different instrument modules, and a transmitter for wirelessly transmitting data from the processor to a remote location.
SEPARATION SAMPLING MODULES FOR USE WITHIN A BUCKET OF A CENTRIFUGE
A separation sampling module for use within a bucket of a centrifuge for monitoring separation of a sample in a container includes a housing operable for supporting the container for containing the sample and removably positionable within the bucket of the centrifuge, at least one light source for illuminating the sample, at least one light detector for detecting light from the sample, an accelerometer for measuring acceleration of the housing, and at least one of a power source and a connector operably connectable to a power source for use in powering the at least one light source. Light from the at least one light source passing through the sample defines a light path disposed in a direction across the direction of a centrifugal force when the separation sampling module is disposed in the bucket and rotated in the centrifuge.
SEPARATION SAMPLING MODULES FOR USE WITHIN A BUCKET OF A CENTRIFUGE
A separation sampling module for use within a bucket of a centrifuge for monitoring separation of a sample in a container includes a housing operable for supporting the container for containing the sample and removably positionable within the bucket of the centrifuge, at least one light source for illuminating the sample, at least one light detector for detecting light from the sample, an accelerometer for measuring acceleration of the housing, and at least one of a power source and a connector operably connectable to a power source for use in powering the at least one light source. Light from the at least one light source passing through the sample defines a light path disposed in a direction across the direction of a centrifugal force when the separation sampling module is disposed in the bucket and rotated in the centrifuge.
Bearing for umbilicus of a fluid processing system
A fluid circuit for use with a fluid processing assembly, the fluid circuit comprising an umbilicus having a first end, a second end, an axis of rotation, and a cross-sectional circumference; a one-piece bearing secured to the umbilicus at a location between the first and second ends, the bearing having an axis of rotation and including an inner lumen which directly engages the umbilicus and includes a plurality of traction features, which bear against the umbilicus to prevent relative rotation of the bearing and the umbilicus; and the plurality of traction features comprising a first traction feature configured to engage the umbilicus at a first length between the first and second ends and a second traction feature configured to engage the umbilicus at a second length between the first and second ends.
DECANTER CENTRIFUGE
The invention relates to a decanter centrifuge with a rotating bowl (1) provided with at least one solids discharge port (11) and at least one clarified liquid discharge port (15) and a screw conveyor (2) disposed coaxially within said rotating bowl rotated in the same direction with a differential rotational speed, where a feed suspension to be separated is introduced into a ring shaped space formed between said rotating bowl (1) and said screw conveyor (2) through a central feed pipe fixed to the end of the screw conveyor and supported in at least one bearing and can be separated by centrifugal force into a solid and a liquid phase so that said solid phase is discharged from said solid discharge port and said liquid phase is discharged from said clarified liquid discharging apparatus. According to the present invention it is characterized by a liquid phase conduit (4) arranged in the hollow shaft of the rotating bowl (1) guiding the liquid phase outside of the bearings (16, 18), a liquid phase discharge valve (14) provided outside the bearing on the side facing away from the bowl (1) and screw (2) and a sealing (6) at the end of the feed pipe (10) surrounded by the liquid phase conduit. So it is possible to pressurize the system and to use the pressure from the feed pump to support the cake transport in the solids transporting part of the bowl, thereby eliminating the need for variable speed conveyor control and equipment.
DECANTER CENTRIFUGE
The invention relates to a decanter centrifuge with a rotating bowl (1) provided with at least one solids discharge port (11) and at least one clarified liquid discharge port (15) and a screw conveyor (2) disposed coaxially within said rotating bowl rotated in the same direction with a differential rotational speed, where a feed suspension to be separated is introduced into a ring shaped space formed between said rotating bowl (1) and said screw conveyor (2) through a central feed pipe fixed to the end of the screw conveyor and supported in at least one bearing and can be separated by centrifugal force into a solid and a liquid phase so that said solid phase is discharged from said solid discharge port and said liquid phase is discharged from said clarified liquid discharging apparatus. According to the present invention it is characterized by a liquid phase conduit (4) arranged in the hollow shaft of the rotating bowl (1) guiding the liquid phase outside of the bearings (16, 18), a liquid phase discharge valve (14) provided outside the bearing on the side facing away from the bowl (1) and screw (2) and a sealing (6) at the end of the feed pipe (10) surrounded by the liquid phase conduit. So it is possible to pressurize the system and to use the pressure from the feed pump to support the cake transport in the solids transporting part of the bowl, thereby eliminating the need for variable speed conveyor control and equipment.
CENTRIFUGAL IDENTIFICATION DISK AND CENTRIFUGE
A centrifugal identification disk, which includes an indicating ring, a clearance portion is provided in the indicating ring, and the clearance portion fits around an outer side of a centrifugal assembly of a centrifuge body, a plurality of indicating portions, the plurality of indicating portions are arranged on a surface of the indicating ring; each indicating portion includes an indicating icon, the indicating icons are circumferentially arranged on the indicating ring to indicate balanced positions for experimental test tubes on the centrifugal assembly. The problem of how to add device indicating placement of test tubes to existing centrifuge is solved, thereby increasing the property and reliability of the centrifuge.
CENTRIFUGAL IDENTIFICATION DISK AND CENTRIFUGE
A centrifugal identification disk, which includes an indicating ring, a clearance portion is provided in the indicating ring, and the clearance portion fits around an outer side of a centrifugal assembly of a centrifuge body, a plurality of indicating portions, the plurality of indicating portions are arranged on a surface of the indicating ring; each indicating portion includes an indicating icon, the indicating icons are circumferentially arranged on the indicating ring to indicate balanced positions for experimental test tubes on the centrifugal assembly. The problem of how to add device indicating placement of test tubes to existing centrifuge is solved, thereby increasing the property and reliability of the centrifuge.
Portable centrifuge device and method of use
A portable centrifuge having a housing containing a rotational mechanism and a centrifugal container having a longitudinal axis. The rotational mechanism has a circuit including an electrical motor, a switch, and an internal electrical power source. The centrifugal container is operably connected to the rotational mechanism through the housing, and is rotatable about the longitudinal axis. The centrifuge is portable and is for single use.
CENTRIFUGE WITH TRANSFORMABLE MECHANISM
The present invention provides a centrifuge including a rotor and multiple mounts. Each mount includes multiple transform units, and each transform unit is pivotally and reciprocatively connected to the mount and provides an accommodation means or a carrying means for accommodating or carrying a centrifuge test tube, such that during rotation of the rotor, each transform unit, in response to a rotation speed, adjusts a relationship thereof with the mount by pivoting and reciprocating, enabling the multiple centrifuge test tubes supported on the multiple mounts to rotate at a consistent rotation radius.
