Spray apparatus and uses thereof are described herein. A vacuum spray nozzle apparatus may include a first tube in fluid communication with a fluid source, a rotor coupled to the tube, a conduit in fluid communication with the passages of the first tube, and a second tube coupled to the conduit, the second tube being in fluid communication with a vacuum source. The rotor is in fluid communication with the pressurized fluid source. The conduit is substantially arched or angled such that an outlet of the conduit is offset a radial distance in a radial direction from the rotor axis, and when pressurized fluid is ejected from the outlet, during use, rotates the conduit. The vacuum spray nozzle apparatus is configured to remove components from a material through the second tube when a pressure of the system is reduced using the vacuum source.

A speed retarding device for a rotary nozzle includes a hollow cylindrical housing and a rotatable tubular shaft rotatably carried by the housing. The shaft has a central axial bore and an enlarged drag sleeve portion carried in the housing. A pair of support bearings support the drag sleeve portion of the shaft in the housing. An annular inner seal between each of the support bearings and the drag sleeve portion defines a cavity within the housing receiving a viscous fluid confined within the cavity. The drag sleeve portion includes a peripheral helical groove and a plurality of axial bores extending therethrough parallel to the central bore, one or more blind axial bores each having a closed end an open end, and a piston disposed in each of the one or more blind axial bores each defining an air space between the closed end and the piston.

SUPERHYDROPHOBIC CONDUCTIVE COATING AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME

A coating including a substrate and a plurality of hydrophobic silver particles disposed on the substrate. The contact angle of the coating with water at room temperature is between 152 and 162 and the resistance value of the coating is between 10.sup.1 and 10.sup.3.

Sprinkler Braking Mechanism
20200078805 · 2020-03-12 ·

What is disclosed is a self governing speed control device for controlling the rotation speed of a sprinkler turbine. The device has a housing that houses a viscous fluid. An axle extends into the housing and is configured to rotate in the housing. The axle is fixedly attached to a primary drum that rotates with the axle. One or more hinge pins extends from the primary drum. A brake shoe is positioned on the hinge pin. The hinge pin passes into a slot in an actuation drum configured to rotate on the axle. The brake shoe is configured to expand and contract based on the speed of rotation of the axle in relation to the speed of rotation of the actuation drum.

EDDY CURRENT SPRINKLER DAMPENER

An improved sprinkler distributor dampener utilizes at least one magnet and an electrically conductive material arranged so as to create an eddie current. The sprinkler is configured with a nozzle that directs fluid at the distributor. The distributor is configured to spin or rotate from the force of the fluid spray and thus distribute fluid in a randomized pattern. The dampener controls the speed of rotation of the distributor, which is preferably a distribution disc.
