Coating apparatus and coating method using a coating needle to apply a liquid material to an object
A coating apparatus applies a liquid material to a surface of a target object using a coating needle. The coating apparatus includes a coating unit having a coating needle and a container to hold a liquid material, a driving device configured to move the coating needle up and down, a Z-axis table configured to move the coating unit up and down, and a controller configured to drive the driving device and the Z-axis table to perform a coating operation. The controller adjusts the coating amount of the liquid material by controlling the driving device and the Z-axis table in accordance with an operation parameter set corresponding to the coating unit attached.
Extrusion method for making a gaseous emissions treatment component
In a method of making a gaseous emissions treatment component, a ‘green’ ceramic mix is extruded through a die to form an extrusion having cells extending along the extrusion, the cells being bounded by walls dividing adjacent cells from one another. In concert with the extruding, metal is fed through the die with the extruded mix. A length of the extrusion and associated metal is then cut off and fired to form the component.

Bearing assembly
A bearing assembly includes at least one inner ring and at least one outer ring, and at least one surface of the inner or outer ring is partially colored with an acid-free ink. If the at least one surface includes a surface defect such as a scratch in a black-oxide coating, the acid-free ink may be applied to the scratch to at least partially conceal it.
DEVICE FOR PROVIDING ADHESIVE
The invention relates to a device for providing adhesive without an adhesive basin, including a conveyor unit, having a first conveying device, a first inlet and a first outlet, through which an adhesive present at least in part as a solid is conveyed, and further comprising a heating unit, having a second inlet and a second outlet, and a first heating device for softening and/or liquefying the adhesive. In order to provide an efficiently and cleanly working device and a method for providing adhesive, a dosing unit having a dosing inlet, a longitudinal slit and a roller is provided.
SUBSTRATE PROCESSING APPARATUS AND SUBSTRATE PROCESSING METHOD
The invention includes a gas supplier for discharging a gas into a space sandwiched between a substrate and a shielding plate by supplying the gas to a gas discharge nozzle provided in the shielding plate to form a flow of the gas from a central part toward a radially outer side of the substrate. This gas supplier is controlled such that a flow velocity of the gas into a discharge space at a peripheral edge part of the substrate becomes larger than zero.
SUBSTRATE PROCESSING APPARATUS AND SUBSTRATE PROCESSING METHOD
In processing a peripheral edge part of a substrate by a processing liquid, upward scattered liquid droplets may be produced. Accordingly, in the invention, the processing liquid is caused to land on the peripheral edge part of the substrate from a discharge port while the discharge port is positioned to a bevel processing position lower than an eaves part of a cup in a vertical direction with the peripheral edge part of the substrate covered vertically from above by the eaves part. Thus, the eaves part collects upward scattered liquid droplets. As a result, the re-adhesion of the upward scattered liquid droplets to the substrate and the scattering thereof to a surrounding atmosphere are suppressed.
SUBSTRATE PROCESSING APPARATUS AND SUBSTRATE PROCESSING METHOD
The invention includes an upper sealing member fixed near a ceiling wall of a processing chamber and a lower sealing member provided movably in a vertical direction below the upper sealing member. A sealed space is formed by moving down the lower sealing member to a lower limit position where an upper end part of the lower sealing member is aligned or partially overlapped with a lower end part of the upper sealing member in the vertical direction. On the other hand, a conveyance space for carrying the substrate to and from a substrate holder is formed by moving up the lower sealing member to a retracted position above the lower limit position.
Skin Preparation Applicator
Fluid applicators with precise volume dispensing control for dispensing fluids such as a disinfectant in a controlled manner are described herein. Such fluid applicators may include a barrel including a sidewall having an inside surface defining a chamber for retaining a fluid, an end press, a push rod disposed within the chamber, the push rod having a push button and a piercing tip, a cap attached to a port via a hinge to cover a hydrophobic filter disposed on the sidewall of the chamber, a one-way valve disposed on the outlet on a distal end of the barrel, a disinfectant disposed within the chamber; a housing having a base and an open proximal end; and a fluid applicator sponge disposed in the base of the housing. An alternate fluid may include a deformable end press, a plurality of volume scale markings on an outer surface of the barrel, a push rod, a one-way valve and applicator sponge.
