Penetration system for fabric and method for manufacturing fabric using same
A permeation system for permeating a wetting agent into fabric includes a fabric supply part; a permeation part provided with a permeation device and a height adjustment device; a drying part; and a collecting part for winding the fabric, which has passed through the drying part, around a collecting roll, thereby obtaining functional fabric of uniform quality and increasing productivity of the fabric into which the wetting agent is permeated. A method for manufacturing fabric includes adjusting the height of the permeation paddle contacting the fabric; supplying the fabric; supplying a wetting agent to be permeated into the fabric; rotating the permeation roller and the permeation paddle to permeate the wetting agent into the fabric; drying the fabric into which the wetting agent is permeated; and collecting the fabric.
CONDUCTIVE POLYMER ELECTRODES, WIRING ELEMENTS, AND USE THEREOF IN HEALTH AND SPORTS MONITORING

SPRAY ADHESIVE COMPOSITION AND RELATED METHODS
A composition includes an acrylic polymer, an emulsifier, and water. The acrylic polymer includes monomer units of at least one alkyl acrylate or alkyl methacrylate, wherein alkyl has at least 8 carbon atoms. Not more than one percent by weight of monomer units include a carboxylic acid, sulfonic acid, or phosphonic acid, based on the total weight of monomer units in the acrylic polymer. The composition is an emulsion of the acrylic polymer in water. The composition is a spray adhesive composition and/or coagulates upon being subjected to shear forces. A process for making the composition and a method for making a bonded article using the composition are also described.
METHOD OF FORMING MULTILAYER COATING FILM MADE FROM NATURAL MATERIAL
Disclosed are a multilayer coating film made from a natural material and a method of producing the same. The multilayer coating film may be produced by forming a multilayer coating film through formation of a color coating film for providing adhesion and color to a cork on the cork material and a clear coating film for realizing texture and supplementing properties on the color coating film. As such, the multilayer coating film may be made from a natural material to diversify the color and gloss of cork as a natural material, to additionally increase marketability of an interior material and provide various appearance, to prevent discoloration due to light (e.g. UV light.) and water permeation, and to enhance durability against abrasion, scratches and the like.
SURFACE FUNCTIONALISATION METHOD
The invention relates to a method for functionalising a surface of a solid substrate with at least one acrylic acid polymer layer, said method including the steps of: i) placing the surface in contact with a solution having of at least one acrylic acid homopolymer, a solvent and, optionally, metal salts; ii) removing the solvent from the solution in contact with the surface; and iii) binding the polymer to the surface by thermal treatment.
Optically clear adhesives using semi- interpenetrating polymer networks
Provided are semi -interpenetrating optically clear adhesives, methods of use, and methods of manufacture. An example semi-interpenetrating optically clear adhesive comprises a transparent polymer network comprised of at least two or more interpenetrating polymer networks, wherein at least one polymer network is a thermoset material and at least one other polymer network is a thermoplastic material, yielding an optically clear adhesive with a transparency above 80% and an elastic toughness above 1 MJ/m.sup.3.
Enhanced PVOH-based barrier layer composition, barrier layer and methods for its manufacture
There is provided a packaging material comprising a fibre based substrate and a gas barrier layer based on a polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH), wherein said gas barrier layer comprises an interpolymer complex forming agent (IPCFA), which IPCFA is a water-soluble polymer exhibiting functional groups capable of forming hydrogen bonds with OH groups of the PVOH. Said PVOH has a weight average molecular weight (M.sub.w) measured according to ASTM D4001-13 in the range of about 80 kg/mol to 135 kg/mol, the proportion of said IPCFA to PVOH in said gas barrier layer is in the range of 0.5 to 7.0% (w/w) and said packaging material has an oxygen permeability (OP) below 14 ml m/m.sup.2 day atm, which OP is obtained by multiplying the oxygen transmission rate (OTR) of the packaging material measured according to ASTM F1927-7 at a relative humidity (RH) of 80% and 23 C. by the thickness of the gas barrier layer.

Embodiments of the invention relate generally to protective leaching masks, and methods of manufacturing and using the same for leaching superabrasive elements such as polycrystalline diamond elements. In an embodiment, a protective leaching mask assembly includes a superabrasive element including a central axis and a superabrasive table, and a protective mask formed to protect at least a portion of the superabrasive element. The protective mask includes a base portion and at least one sidewall extending from the base portion and defining an opening generally opposite the base portion. The at least one sidewall includes an inner surface configured to abut with a selected portion of the superabrasive element being chemically resistant to a leaching agent and an outer surface sloping at an oblique angle relative to the central axis.
