SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR FORMING A SELF-ADHESIVE FIBROUS MEDIUM
Disclosed herein are systems, devices, and method for forming self-adhesive single or multilayer fibrous media.
LIGHT IRRADIATION DEVICE
A light irradiation device includes a protective tube, which has a wire insertion path therein, a light source unit facing and disposed along an upper part of the protective tube, and a gutter-shaped concave reflection mirror facing the light source unit and provided below the protective tube. The concave reflection mirror is received in a gutter-shaped concave accommodating part provided in a holding body, and has flange portions extending from the outer surface in the horizontal direction. The convex reflection mirror is detachably affixed to the holding body with the flange portions.
Fluoropolymer coatings and related methods
A coating for a medical device or appliance may include a fluoropolymer and a polyimide. Such coatings may provide a lubricious exterior surface that facilitates insertion or displacement of a medical device in a body lumen. Some coatings that include a fluoropolymer and a polyimide may, among other functions and characteristics, provide increased strength and/or durability relative to some other coatings.
Bicycle rim
A bicycle rim basically includes a first annular side surface portion, a second annular side surface portion, an annular connecting portion and an outermost layer. The first annular side surface portion includes a first braking surface. The second annular side surface portion includes a second braking surface. The epoxy resin layer is an example of a nonmetallic layer. The annular connecting portion connects the first and second annular side surface portions. The soft additive granules are disposed in at least one of the first and second annular side surface portions. The epoxy resin layer is disposed in at least one of the first and second annular side surface portions. The soft additive granules are at least partially embedded in the epoxy resin layer. The outermost layer covers the epoxy resin layer and the soft additive granules.
Method for processing carbon fiber bundle
Disclosed is a method for processing a carbon fiber bundle, which can adjust bundling property, winding property and wear resistance of sizing fibers. The method includes following steps: (i) coating a sizing agent on at least one carbon fiber bundle, in which the sizing agent includes a thermoplastic resin; (ii) drying the carbon fiber bundle by hot air; and (iii) heating the carbon fiber bundle by an infrared light, in which a heating temperature of the heating is equal to or higher than a melting point of the thermoplastic resin.
COATING APPARATUS WITH AN AUTOMATIC FLUID LEVEL SYSTEM, AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME
The present invention relates to a coating apparatus for an elongate workpiece and a method of operating the coating apparatus. The coating apparatus generally includes a first tray and a second tray with coating tubes interconnected to the trays. The coating apparatus is operable to automatically adjust the coating tubes to a predetermined volume of fluid. In one embodiment, the coating apparatus can fill a first coating tube interconnected to the first tray with a first fluid while the elongate workpiece is being dipped into a second fluid within a second coating tube interconnected to the second tray. Optionally, the coating apparatus includes a control system operable to activate a pump to fill the coating tubes with the predetermined volume of fluid. The control system can receive data from a sensor operable to determine a position of an upper surface of the fluid in a tray or a coating tube.
Apparatus for the Continuous Hot Dip Coating of a Metal Strip, and associated Method
An apparatus for the continuous hot dip coating of a metal strip is provided. The apparatus includes a vessel intended to contain a liquid metal bath, a bottom roller and a scroll casing of the metal strip. The casing includes, at its lower end, a pouring box delimiting a front pouring compartment for liquid metal and a rear pouring compartment for liquid metal. Each pouring compartment is inwardly delimited by an inner wall and outwardly delimited by an outer wall. The outer wall of the rear pouring compartment forms, with the passage plane of the metal strip, an angle greater than or equal to 15? in the usage configuration. A method is also provided.
Dish support rack for dishwasher
The invention pertains to a dish support rack having outstanding resistance to chemically harsh environments, and possessing improved mechanical properties, said dish support rack comprising a metal wire frame coated with a polyamide composition [composition (C)] comprising: more than 50% wt of a polyamide [polyamide (A), herein after], more than 50% moles of recurring units of said polyamide complying with formula: HN(CH.sub.2).sub.6NHC(O)(CH.sub.2).sub.8C(O) [recurring units (R.sub.6,10)], and, optionally: up to 10% wt of conventional filler(s) and/or additive(s), and to a method for its manufacture.
Method and system for monitoring ultraviolet light for a fiber cure system
A system and method for monitoring and operating one or more light emitting devices is disclosed. In one example, light intensity within a dual elliptical reflecting chamber is sensed and operation of a fiber curing system is adjusted in response to an amount of sensed light energy.
Method for coating a flexible support with a silicone composition
The present invention concerns a method for coating a textile material with a silicone elastomer composition crosslinkable by condensation reactions, to produce a solid silicone elastomer, optionally in a thin layer, on a flexible support that can be made from a textile material, paper, polyvinyl chloride, polyester, polypropylene, polyamide, polyethylene, polyurethane, non-woven glass fiber fabric or polyethylene terephthalate.
