BATCH COATING APPARATUS AND BATCH COATING METHOD

Some embodiments of the disclosure describe a batch coating apparatus. In some examples, the batch coating apparatus includes a fixing mechanism, a liquid holding mechanism, a liquid injection mechanism and a control device. The fixing mechanism includes a plurality of fixing portions for fixing work-pieces to be coated. The liquid holding mechanism includes a plurality of liquid tanks arranged side by side. The liquid injection mechanism includes a liquid storage portion and an infusion portion. The control device is configured to control at least one of a relative movement between the fixing mechanism and the liquid holding mechanism and a relative movement between the liquid holding mechanism and the liquid injection mechanism. The control device is configured to control the liquid injection mechanism to supply the coating liquid via the infusion portion.

UNION SCREW FOR A PIPELINE PROVIDED WITH AT LEAST ONE FLANGE, IN PARTICULAR A BRAKE PIPE
20230166708 · 2023-06-01 ·

A union screw (1) for pipes (2) provided with at least one flare (21) comprises a metal base body (10) which accommodates the pipe (20). The union screw (1) further comprises a screw head (12), a threaded portion (13), a contact portion (15) which is configured to abut the flare (21) of the pipe (20), and a functional layer (40) with which the base body (10) is coated at least in the region of the threaded portion (13) and the contact portion (15). The functional layer (40) is multi-layered and consists of at least one base coat (41) and a top coat (42) applied to the base coat (41) at least in some areas. The base coat (41) forms a structure for creating corrosion protection and a far-reaching invariance with regard to the material of the usual friction partners of the union screw (1) which, in addition to a binder, also contains zinc in the form of zinc-containing lamellae (43), which are oriented to lie substantially flat on the base body (10).

Multi-patch threaded fastener

A multi-patch threaded fastener includes a shank having a threaded portion and two or more polymer patches disposed on the shank. The two or more polymer patches are configured to wedge against a mating threaded component to promote contact between non-patched threaded portions of the shank and the mating threaded component to resist removal from the mating threaded component. A method of making the multi-patch threaded fastener includes positioning two or more nozzles for dispensing a patch material at locations corresponding to desired patch locations on the shank, conveying the shank past two or more nozzles, and dispensing the patch material from each nozzle onto the shank to form the two or more polymer patches on the shank.

Fastener sealing material and method

A fastener sealing material for application to fasteners is formulated from an acrylate present in a concentration of about 90 to about 97 percent by weight of the sealing material and a nanostructured material present in a concentration of about 3 to about 10 percent by weight of the sealing material. The sealant is applied to the fastener as a liquid and is cured using an ultraviolet or LED light source and without the use of heat.

Particle coating methods and apparatus

A reactor for coating particles includes a vacuum chamber configured to hold particles to be coated, a vacuum port to exhaust gas from the vacuum chamber via the outlet of the vacuum chamber, a chemical delivery system configured to flow a process gas into the particles via a gas inlet on the vacuum chamber, one or more vibrational actuators located on a first mounting surface of the vacuum chamber, and a controller configured to cause the one or more vibrational actuators to generate a vibrational motion in the vacuum chamber sufficient to induce a vibrational motion in the particles held within the vacuum chamber.

PADDLE CONFIGURATION FOR A PARTICLE COATING REACTOR

A reactor for coating particles includes a stationary vacuum chamber to hold a bed of particles to be coated, a chemical delivery system, and a paddle assembly. The paddle assembly includes a rotatable drive shaft and a first plurality of paddles and a second plurality of paddles that extend radially from the drive shaft. The spacing, cross-sections, and oblique angles of the paddles are such that orbiting of the paddles causes the first plurality of paddles and the second plurality of paddles to displace substantially equal volumes in opposite directions in the lower portion of the stationary vacuum chamber.

FISHHOOK

An object of the invention is to provide a fishhook for fishing or the like, the fishhook being easily stuck to a fish or the like and being also excellent in durability. The surface of a fishhook is treated with a compound selected from the group consisting of a metallic surfactant having at least one or more hydroxyl groups or hydrolyzable groups, a fluorine-based surface treating agent, a thiol compound and a disulfide compound.

MULTILAYER DRUG DELIVERY COATING FOR CONTACT LENS

Ophthalmic devices coated with an active agent eluting coating are provided herein. Placement of the coated ophthalmic devices on the surface of eye results in modulation of cells responding to an immune modifying agent and reducing inflammation-related complications in the eye. Methods for treating ocular disorders are also provided herein. The disclosed subject matter is based, in part, on the discovery that ophthalmic devices coated with a cytokine eluting coating can shift early-stage macrophage polarization associated with alleviation of symptoms and causes of inflammatory ocular disorders.

Surgical coated needles

Systems and methods for coating surgical needles are provided.
