METHOD FOR COATING PARTS IN A DIP CENTRIFUGATION PROCESS
A coating method for coating parts in a dip-spin process is provided. The parts to be coated are dipped into a coating liquid and then centrifuged in at least one planetary basket arrangement in a planetary centrifuge. The planetary centrifuge includes a main rotor rotating about a main rotor axis of rotation and at least one planetary basket arrangement rotates about its planetary axis of rotation. Also, the planetary axis of rotation is arranged eccentrically on the main rotor. The at least one planetary basket arrangement can include a plurality of planetary baskets rotatably arranged about the planetary rotation axis of the at least one planetary basket arrangement and the planetary basket arrangement is rotated during a centrifuging operation.
METHOD OF PROTECTING ITEMS FROM DEGRADATION AND DECOMPOSITION
Methods of forming a protective coating on a surface of one or more substrates. The methods include providing a mixture including a coating agent in a solvent, forming a fog from the mixture, allowing the fog to contact the outer surface of the one or more substrates so that a portion of the mixture accumulates on at least a portion of the surface of the one or more substrates. The solvent from the mixture is then at least partially removed from the surface of the one or more substrates, e.g., by evaporation or forced convection, causing a protective coating to be formed from the coating agent on at least a part of the surfaces of the one or more substrates. The protective coating can, for example, protect at least to some extent the substrates from biotic or abiotic stressors such as mass or moisture loss, oxidation, mold, fungi, or infestation.
Reactor for Coating Particles in Stationary Chamber with Rotating Paddles
A reactor for coating particles includes a stationary vacuum chamber to hold a bed of particles to be coated, a vacuum port in an upper portion of the chamber, a chemical delivery system configured to inject a reactant or precursor gas into a lower portion of the chamber, a paddle assembly, and a motor to rotate a drive shaft of the paddle assembly. The lower portion of the chamber forms a half-cylinder. The paddle assembly includes a rotatable drive shaft extending through the chamber along the axial axis of the half cylinder, and a plurality of paddles extending radially from the drive shaft such that rotation of the drive shaft by the motor orbits the plurality of paddles about the drive shaft.
DEVICES FOR FISHIING LURES WITH INTERCHANGEABLE SCENTS AND METHODS FOR EMBEDDING SCENTS IN FISHING LURES
The present disclosure is directed to fishing lures with interchangeable scents and methods of embedding scents in fishing lures. In an embodiment, a device for supplementing a fishing hook or other fishing device to attract or repel fish is provided and includes an accessory holder; and a plurality of accessories attached to the accessory holder, each of the plurality of accessories including a body formed of a material capable of absorbing an applied scent, wherein the plurality of accessories are each individually attached to the accessory holder and are configured to individually detach from the accessory holder and attach to the fishing hook or other fishing device so that the applied scent can be used to attract or repel fish.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING COATED CONTACT LENSES
The invention is generally related to a method for producing, in a consistent manner, contact lenses each having an intact durable coating thereon, wherein the coating is a hydrogel coating formed by covalently attached a hydrophilic polymeric material having azetidinium groups onto a base coating of a polyanionic polymer on a contact lens at a relatively low temperature (e.g., from about 40 C. to about 60 C.). The coating temperature for forming a durable hydrogel coating on top of the base coating of a contact lens can be significantly lowered by raising, in situ, the pH (to about 9.5 or higher) of a reactive coating solution which contains the hydrophilic polymeric material having azetidinium groups.
DRY POWDER COATING APPARATUS
A dry powder coating apparatus for coating pharmaceutical solid dosage forms includes a housing; a drum coater; a powder coating system; a liquid spray system; a ventilation system; a heating system; a touch screen control panel; and an operation box. The drum coater may have a truncated cone on both sides, in which one side is opened and another side is closed. The drum coater is horizontally placed inside the operation box along its axis and fixed on a rotatable shaft and a motor drives the rotatable shaft and rotates the drum coater about its own axis.
GEMSTONE COATINGS AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING THE SAME
Disclosed herein are coated gemstones, coatings for gemstones, methods of coating gemstones, and methods of using coatings on gemstones to avoid blemishes on gemstones. In some embodiments, diamonds are functionalized with anchor molecules that bind hydrophilic cyclodextrin molecules to confer hydrophilicity on the diamond. In some embodiments, the diamonds resist dirt and grime build-up.
Fishing lures with interchangeable scents and methods for embedding scents in fishing lures
The present disclosure is directed to fishing lures with interchangeable scents and methods of embedding scents in fishing lures. In an embodiment, a fishing lure configured to be customized with different scents includes a body, and a plurality of attachments configured to be attached to and detached from the body, wherein a first attachment of the plurality of attachments includes a first scent, and a second attachment of the plurality of attachments includes a second scent, and wherein the first attachment and the second attachment can be interchangeably attached to and detached from the body at a same location of the body.
Coating apparatus and coating method for granular bodies
In the coating apparatus for granular bodies is disposed a rotatable hollow cylindrical drum in which there is an introduction apparatus for granular bodies and at least one movable separating element therein, with which a cycle zone can be partly separated from a downstream cycle zone and a movement of the at least one separating element that leads to release is achievable. An interior of the drum is divided into at least one cycle zone and a further cycle zone. A spray apparatus is disposed in one cycle zone, and an outlet in a cycle zone arranged downstream. A separating element is movable from a closed position into an open position. A separating element has a clear space above the closed subregion and an opening between one cycle zone and a cycle zone arranged thereafter, through which granular bodies can pass.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR EMBEDDING A SCENT IN A FISHING LURE
