A polymer-based substrate is proposed, which in particular is electrostatically coatable, wherein the substrate has a substrate base body made using a polymeric material and a two- or multi-layer coating applied to a surface region of the substrate base body, wherein a first layer of the coating is configured as a bonding layer and is arranged in contact with the surface region of the substrate base body, wherein a second layer of the coating is configured as a lacquerable cover layer, wherein at least one layer of the coating is produced as a layer with reduced surface resistance using a proportion of an electrically non-insulating material, such that it results in a specific surface resistance of this layer of about 10.sup.10 Ohm or less, and wherein at least one layer of the coating is configured as a film.

METHODS OF CONFERRING FIRE RETARDANCY TO WOOD AND FIRE-RETARDANT WOOD PRODUCTS
20170120473 · 2017-05-04 ·

A process is provided for treating wood products including lumber, plywood and other engineered wood products comprising the steps of applying an aqueous fire-retardant impregnate and applying a coating to the surface of the wood product. In one embodiment, said process confers fire-retardant properties to the wood products sufficient to pass the extended burn test of ASTM E-84. The present invention also provides fire retardant wood products.

PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING COPPER CONDUITS FOR AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS WITH IMPROVED ANTI-CORROSIVE PERFORMANCE
20250122970 · 2025-04-17 ·

A continuous process for producing an air conditioning conduit is provided. The continuous process involves unwinding a copper tube from at least one coil and straightening the copper tube, cleaning the copper tube by plasma treatment, heating the copper tube to complete the cleaning of the copper tube, applying at least one adhesive on an outer surface of the copper tube, applying at least one polyamide anti-corrosion barrier layer over the at least one adhesive, cooling the copper tube coated with the at least one adhesive and the at least one polyamide anti-corrosion barrier layer, and applying around the coated and cooled copper tube at least one insulation layer made of closed-cell insulation material, thus obtaining the air conditioning conduit. The continuous process has the advantages of producing an air conditioning conduit that counteracts the phenomenon of formicary corrosion.
