Base element
A base element for fastening a component to fastening holes which are made in a metallic base body is coated with an elastomer. The base element may be provided with an anti-corrosion coating, but can nevertheless be adapted individually for different installation situations and can be produced economically. Fastening holes may form at least two holes patterns and at least one of the hole patterns is rendered unusable by way of the formation of the elastomer on the base body.

A repair process includes providing a gas turbine engine article that has an elastomeric coating that has an eroded region, plasma etching the elastomeric coating in the eroded region, and applying an elastomeric repair coating on the eroded region.

The present disclosure provides novel polymerizable compositions that can produce coating layers on polymeric materials thereby imparting excellent stain resistance. Further provided herein are methods of producing polymerizable coatings, coated devices, and coated polymeric materials. Also provided herein are methods of using polymer coated materials, and coated polymeric materials fabricated via additive manufacturing processes (e.g., via 3D printing), such as orthodontic appliances with increased stain resistance.
