Composite particles, coatings and coated articles
The invention relates to composite particles, coatings, and coated articles. An article is provided at least partially covered with a coating defining a slippery surface. The coating comprises a layer of particulate material bound to the article and a substantially immobilised lubricant at least partially covering and penetrating into the layer of composite particulate material. The composite particulate material comprises a carrier particle at least partially coated with a hydrophobic material. A further article is provided at least partially covered with a coating comprising a layer of the composite particulate material bound to said article. This is useful in preparation of the article having a coating defining a slippery surface. Methods of preparing the coating and the articles are also provided.
HIGH-PERFORMANCE STRESS BUFFER DIE-COAT AND DEVICES AND PROCESSES IMPLEMENTING THE SAME
A device may include device parts, a composite coating material arranged on one or more of the device parts, and a molding compound arranged on and/or around one or more of the device parts. Moreover, the device may include where the composite coating material may include a polymer matrix including and/or incorporating ceramic particles.
Pavement marking method and composition
Systems and methods are provided for depositing a structured paint material on a surface. According to one embodiment, the method comprises introducing an initiator to a paint composition comprising methyl methacrylate (MMA) and a first retroreflective element to produce a liquid mixture, depositing the liquid mixture on a surface of a substrate to produce a layer of structured paint material, and depositing a layer of a second retroreflective element onto at least a portion of an upper surface of the deposited layer of structured paint material, and wherein a coefficient of retroreflected luminance of the layer of structured paint material is at least 1400 mcd/m.sup.2/lux.
Coatings, Coating Compositions, and Methods of Delaying Ice Formation
A coating includes at least one coating layer containing first particles, second particles, and third particles distributed throughout a cross-linked, continuous polymer matrix. An outer surface of the coating layer includes surfaces of at least first particles extending outward from a top periphery of the polymer matrix. The outer surface exhibits a property of delaying ice formation compared to the coating layer without the first particles. A method includes applying a coating composition in one application step. The one-step coating composition contains first particles, second particles, and third particles in a base containing a polymer. A coating composition includes first particles, second particles, and third particles distributed in a matrix precursor.
Composition, film and related methods
A composition that is configured for use in creating a film. The composition includes a vinyl acetate containing polymer, such as a vinyl acetate ethylene (VAE) copolymer, and at least one additive that is a pigment, a surfactant, a dispersant, a wetting agent, a plasticizer, a defoamer, a coupling agent, a solvent, a UV absorber, a fire retardant, or a light stabilizer.

RESISTANT COATINGS INCLUDING POLYMER SEALANT AND RESISTANT PARTICLES
A component includes a body and a coating deposited on a surface of the body. The coating includes a porous ceramic. The coating further includes a polymer sealant. The coating further includes a plurality of particles disposed within the polymer sealant.
COATING FOR MAINTENANCE OF UNDERGROUND PIPES
There is provided a coating composition for rehabilitating an underground pipe, the coating comprising an epoxy resin, an epoxy hardener and from 5 to 40 wt. % of fiberglass. There is also provided a method of rehabilitating an underground pipe, the method comprising: making an opening in the underground pipe; inserting a coating device in the opening of the underground pipe; and moving the coating device inside the underground pipe while spraying a coating comprising an epoxy resin, an epoxy hardener and from 5 to 40 wt. % of fiberglass.
