STEEL SHEET AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR
A lubricating film-coated steel sheet to be subjected to complicated forming is disclosed. The organic resin film contains an acrylic resin having a glass transition point (Tg) of 100 C. or higher and an acid value ratio R=acid value (mg-KOH/g)/Tg ( C.) of 1.50 or more, and 5 mass % or more of a polyolefin wax having a melting point of 100 C. or higher and 145 C. or lower and an average particle diameter of 3.0 m or less, and is formed on a surface of a steel sheet at a coating weight, W, of 0.3 g/m.sup.2 or more and 2.5 g/m.sup.2 or less per surface.
Resin-coated A1 plate for drawn and ironed can with excellent luster and method for producing drawn and ironed can
Disclosed is a resin-coated Al sheet with which a drawn and ironed can having a lustrous appearance can be formed. An upper limit of a thickness of an outer surface resin layer which covers an Al surface which becomes an outer surface of the can and has an arithmetical mean roughness (Ra) of 0.5 m or less with a thickness which falls within a range of 0.02 m to 6 m is determined based on an arithmetical mean roughness (Ra) of the Al surface, wherein the upper limit of the thickness of a coating outer-surface resin layer is decreased when the arithmetical mean roughness (Ra) is increased.
Coating composition and articles made therefrom
The instant invention provides an aqueous dispersion, a coating composition, coating layers and coated article made therefrom. The coating composition according to the present invention comprises: (1) the inventive aqueous dispersion comprising the melt blending product of: (a) from 50 to 99 percent by weight of one or more polyethylene terephthalate resins, based on the total solid content of the dispersion; (b) from 1 to 50 percent by weight of one or more stabilizing agents comprising at least one second polyester, based on the total solid content of the dispersion, wherein said second polyester (i) has a carboxylic acid group and an acid number equal to or greater than 15, based on the solid content of the second polyester; or (ii) is a self-dispersing sulfopolyester; (c) one or more neutralizing agents; and (d) from 15 to 90 percent by weight of water, based on the total weight of the dispersion; wherein said dispersion has a solid content of 10 to 85 percent, based on the total weight of the dispersion; and (2) optionally one or more cross-linking agents.
Weather resistive barrier with drainage surface
Weather resistive barriers and methods of making such are provided. A weather resistive barrier provides a space permitting drainage of liquid water or condensation and for air movement. Applications include where the weather resistive barrier is coupled to a sheathing material and further covered with an exterior building covering, thereby providing space between the sheathing material and the exterior building covering. In this way, the amount of moisture exposure experienced by a structure can be controlled and the structure protected. The extent of water drainage and airflow can be tailored according to particular applications.
Crosslinked coating compositions for packaging articles such as food and beverage containers
A method of forming a coating on a food or beverage container, which includes spraying a coating composition onto an interior surface of the food or beverage container, where the coating composition includes a latex copolymer and a metal drier or crosslinking agent. The latex copolymer is a reaction product of monomers that include (a) one or more styrene-mimicking monomers containing one or more cyclic groups and one or more ethylenically-unsaturated groups, at least a portion of such styrene-mimicking monomers being polycyclic monomers containing ring unsaturation, and (b) one or more other ethylenically-unsaturated monomers. Preferably, the coating composition is substantially free of each of BPA, PVC, other halogenated monomers, and optionally styrene. The method may also include curing the sprayed coating composition, thereby providing the coating on the interior surface of the food or beverage container.
Steel sheet and production method therefor
A lubricating film-coated steel sheet has at least one surface on which an organic resin film is formed.
