METHOD FOR PREVENTING THE DIFFUSION OF SOIL FUMIGANT
The present disclosure relates to a barrier paper comprising a paper coated with polyvinyl alcohol composition, and a method for reducing diffusion of soil fumigant using the same.
Method for large scale biological hydrosynthesis, energy generation and storage, and/or topsoil restoration
A method for biological hydrosynthesis, energy generation and storage and/or topsoil restoration comprising the steps of: undertaking a primary amendment of a site with a first catalyst and a second catalyst, wherein the first catalyst and the second catalyst are applied to at least a portion of the site such that a matrix of biological energy generation points are constructed on about 5% of the site by area; undertaking a secondary amendment of the site with the first catalyst and the second catalyst, wherein the first catalyst and the second catalyst are applied to at least a portion of the site such that a matrix of biological energy generation points are constructed on about 20% of the site by area, and undertaking a tertiary amendment of the site with the first catalyst and the second catalyst, wherein the first catalyst and the second catalyst are applied to at least a portion of the site such that a matrix of biological energy generation points are constructed on about 75% of the site by area, wherein the primary amendment, the secondary amendment and the tertiary amendment of the site are each conducted at least once.
Enchanced system and method for treatment of soil and groundwater contaminated with PFAS
A method and enhancements for the decontamination of water containing one or more PFAS contaminants includes introducing a foaming agent into the water, and injecting a gas through a diffuser and into the water so as to form a plurality of bubbles in the water, the one or more PFAS contaminants accumulating on the plurality of bubbles. The plurality of bubbles is allowed to rise, forming a foam at the surface of the water. The resulting foam is then collected and transported away from the surface of the water, where it condenses into a liquid and is treated to regulatory standards.
Pump monitoring system
A fuel pump monitoring module for monitoring attributes related to a fuel pump at a gas station. The fuel pump monitoring module may have a body for attachment to the fuel pump. A transmitter or receiver is connected to the body and configured to communicate with a bioremediation dispensing unit using a transmission signal. A processor is connected to the body and configured to determine the location of the bioremediation dispensing unit relative to the fuel pump monitoring module based on the transmission signal.
Optimized flux ERH electrode
An in-situ thermal remediation method and a drip system for implementing the method. The drip water system collects data and changes its drip operation to optimize performance of the electrode. Electrical current, drip volume, drip cycle time and change in current are measured as a function of time and adjustments are made to the drip water volume and time between injections to optimize performance based on the observed current performance over time. A specialized screen delivers water where it is needed.
HYDROMULCH COMPOSITION AND METHOD OF USE THEREOF
A hydromulch composition compromising an oil-extruded cottonseed meal processed from a non-delinted cottonseed. The oil-extruded fuzzy cottonseed meal can optionally be combined with one or more super absorbent polymers, such as polyaspartate and polyacrylate polymers and other additives. The hydromulch composition can additionally include one or more microorganisms including but not limited to bacteria and mycorrhizae configured to provide symbiotic relationship with treated soil and plants to increase water and nutrient uptake in the treated plants or soil. The hydromulch composition can further be combined with a dispersant, such as water to make slurry for spray on application to a desired treatment surface.
NITRIFICATION INHIBITORS
Nitrification inhibitors and uses of same to prevent nitrate leaching or nitrous oxide emissions as well as increase pasture or crop production. The nitrification inhibitors and formulations including same may be used for direct or indirect application to soil or pasture.
Composition and methods of use
Provided herein are compositions and methods that can remove, metabolize, or degrade a hydrocarbon in an area that is contaminated by hydrocarbons. Methods for bioremediation of an area such as an area of land, a body of water, or a shoreline that are contaminated by a hydrocarbon, such as from a crude oil spill are also described. The compositions and methods described herein can be used on natural flora and fauna as well as manmade materials that are contaminated by a hydrocarbon.
Barrier panel connecting clip and method
An apparatus and method for endwise connecting subterranean barrier members is disclosed. The apparatus includes at least two barrier members with each barrier member extending between top and bottom edges. Further, each barrier member has a side first edge having a flange defining a first connector and an opposed second side edge having a channel defining a second connector. The channel is sized and shaped to receive the flange of an adjacent barrier member in slidable interconnection therein. The apparatus further include a first side panel shaped to lie against a first side of the barrier members, a second side panel shaped to lie against a second side of the barrier members and a bridging plate located between the first and second panel members so as to bridge a gap therebetween, wherein the gap has a width corresponding to a width of the first and second barrier members. The associated method is directed toward creating the apparatus.
DESTRUCTION OF DENSE NONAQUEOUS PHASE LIQUIDS (DNAPLS) USING A TIME-RELEASE FORMULATION
Formulations and methods for destroying dense non-aqueous phase liquids (DNAPLs) using in situ chemical oxidation (ISCO) are provided. In particular, the invention provides slow release formulations comprising oxidants such as percarbonate and persulfate that efficiently destroy DNAPLs e.g. at sites requiring clean-up due to the presence of toxic DNAPL contaminants.
