Method for minimizing the global production cost of long metal products and production plant operating according to such method

A method for producing long metal products includes the steps of receiving long intermediate products traveling on respective continuous casting lines, to an exit area, and subsequently introducing products from the exit area into a production plant having known layout parameters; the production plant has a rolling mill for rolling the products; interconnected production lines between the exit area of the casting machine and the rolling mill, the production lines define production paths or routes; and a first and a second heating devices. The method associates a mathematical model to the production plant for dynamically calculating a reference value, or Global Heating Cost Index, correlated to heating devices; automatically determining for the intermediate products the production path or route that minimizes the reference value, or Global Heating Cost Index; and eventually automatically routing each of the products along the determined production path which minimizes the reference value, or Global Heating Cost Index.

MACRO-MOLECULAR LEAKAGE-FREE SELF-ADHERING ALUMINUM FOIL AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

A macro-molecular leakage-free self-adhering aluminum foil has two layers of aluminum foil compounded using a PET film, and the other surfaces of each layer coated with a modified PE adhesive layer respectively; or air gaps in one surface or two surfaces are filled with nano-aluminum to form a permeable air gap-free surface. The foil has advantages: 1. high folding resistance, fatigue resistance and strength 2, wrapping self-adhering performance is good, and stripping strength formed after adhesion is several times as high as that of the prior art; 3, air gaps in the surface of the aluminum foil filled with nano-aluminum powder result in improved compactness; manufacture from low-grade aluminum foil, and so that rolling precision requirements are lowered, and manufacturing cost reduced; 4, insulating strength is high, shielding effect is good, the return loss phenomenon is avoided, and tensile strength is good.

A method of hemming a low ductile material includes providing a first sheet made from the low ductile material and providing an integrated hemming device having at least one laser head and a roll forming assembly comprising a roller. The first sheet is hemmed by moving the roll forming assembly relative to the first sheet along a hemming direction, wherein the roll forming assembly is arranged relative to the first sheet to form a bending region in front of the roll forming assembly. The at least one laser head directs laser light along two optical paths to form two irradiation spots. One of the irradiation spots irradiates a localized portion of the first sheet along the hemming direction at a substantially constant predetermined distance in front of the roll forming assembly and within the bending region, and the other of the irradiation spots irradiates a portion of the roller.
