Apparatus for refurbishing a gas turbine nozzle
09669495 · 2017-06-06 · ·

A gas turbine nozzle can be refurbished to reduce downstream deflection. The outer shroud of the gas turbine nozzle is held in a fixture, and then the nozzle is heated. The heated nozzle is then reshaped by a force exerted upon the inner shroud of the gas turbine, reducing the downstream deflection of the nozzle. After the deformation of the nozzle, an aft hook of the nozzle that has been adjusted by previous refurbishment efforts can be rebuilt to remove the previous adjustments.

Rub rail repair tool and method
09597720 · 2017-03-21 ·

A rub rail repair tool includes a tool engaging element disposed on one longitudinal side of a flange. A working element is disposed on the other longitudinal side of the flange. The working element is shaped to define a maximum diameter dimension and a minimum diameter dimension. The maximum diameter dimension is substantially equal to a distance between an undamaged rub rail affixed to a lateral edge of a truck bed frame. At least one tool engaging feature is formed in the tool engaging element. The tool engaging feature enables coupling of a torque arm to the tool engaging element to enable rotation thereof about a longitudinal axis thereof by applying force to the torque arm.

FOLDING DEVICE FOR FORMING A CORRUGATION IN A METAL SHEET AND METHOD FOR USING A FOLDING DEVICE

A bending device for forming a corrugation in a metal sheet, the bending device having a frame, a die having two die elements, each having a concave half-impression, mounted able to slide on the frame; a punch having a head able to engage inside the impression of the die so as to press the metal sheet; and two side clamps mounted sliding and able to move vertically with respect to the lower frame so as to clamp the metal sheet against the bearing surfaces of the die elements. During the displacement of the punch into its bending position, the metal sheet transmits a traction force to the die elements and to the side clamps so as to displace them into their near position.

Gripper head for gripping arrangements for manipulating long workpieces, device for feeding long workpieces into and removing same from a processing machine and method for bend-straightening long workpieces

The invention relates to a gripping head for grasping devices for manipulating a long workpiece in a horizontal arrangement. A gripping head with two clamping jaws which can be adjusted independently of one another can be used. In addition, a device for feeding long workpieces into a processing machine, and discharging them therefrom is proposed. At least one of the grasping devices may have a gripping head for gripping in a frictionally locking fashion one end of the workpiece which is conveyed here by the horizontal conveying means, and drive means for pulling the workpiece to be straightened into the processing section and for pushing the straightened workpiece out onto the at least one horizontal conveying means by means of the gripping head.
