METHOD OF MANUFACTURING WASHER AND WASHER
A method of manufacturing a washer capable of improving a material yield is provided. The method includes: a preparation step of preparing a longitudinal member which includes an upper crest portion and a lower crest portion formed on at least one of an upper surface and a lower surface of the longitudinal member, and an upper valley portion and a lower valley portion continuous to the upper crest portion and the rower crest portion in the right-left direction, respectively, the upper valley portion and the lower valley portion provided with projections, respectively; and a deformation step of deforming the longitudinal member such that the upper surface and the lower surface are arcuate as viewed in the direction from the front to the rear.
Combined Material Honeycomb Core
A combined material honeycomb core and methods of manufacture are presented. The combined material honeycomb core comprises a plurality of cells arranged in columns and rows formed of multiple materials, the multiple materials comprising a metallic material and either a second metallic material or a non-metallic material.
Punch surface texturing for use in the manufacturing of metallic containers
A punch sleeve utilized in forming metallic containers, including food and beverage containers, is provided. The punch sleeve comprises two or more different surface textures. In one embodiment, the outer surface of the punch sleeve comprises three regions and each region has a different surface texture. Additionally, a method of texturing two or more different surface textures on an exterior surface of a punch sleeve used in a metallic container manufacturing process is provided. An apparatus for providing two or more surface textures on a punch sleeve used in a metal container manufacturing process is also provided.

Container and method for producing a container
The present disclosure relates to a mesh container and a method of making a mesh container that has a first and a second set of opposing side panels, a bottom panel, and a rim directed outwards from the upper edges of the side panels. At least two adjacent sides panels of the container and portion of the rim directed outwardly from the upper edge of the side panels are made from a sheet metal precursor with least one perforated and a stretched portion and unstretched metal portion. The precursor is folded so that the unstretched metal portion joins the two side panels and is bent to form the rim. A notch is cut from the edge of the unstretched metal portion where it is bent at the corner formed by the two side panels.
Sheet material forming
A formed sheet metal material and methods, tools and apparatus for forming the sheet metal material in which a pattern of projections and depressions are cold worked in a first portion and, simultaneously, indicia is embossed in a second portion of the sheet material. The cold worked portion is formed with the projections and depressions configured and distributed such that lines drawn on a surface of the formed sheet material between adjacent rows of projections and depressions are not rectilinear. The indicia is indicative of the alignment between the tools.
