Livestock force tub with supplemental wall section, auxiliary space and reduced opacity exit-adjacent wall sections

A livestock force tub features a perimeter structure delimiting an interior space of said livestock tub, including a main peripheral wall spanning circumferentially around a central upright axis, an exit situated at or proximate a terminal end of the main peripheral wall and a supplemental wall section at an area adjacent the exit on a side thereof opposite the terminal end of the main peripheral wall. The supplemental wall section increases an angular span of the tub around the central axis to create an auxiliary space beyond the exit. This auxiliary space accommodates a possible uncooperative animal during unloading of the force tub while allowing others to still reach the exit. The supplemental wall section and a terminal section of the main peripheral wall have a lesser opacity than more significantly cladded areas of the main peripheral wall, whereby increased light admission and environmental visibility attract livestock toward the exit.

MODULAR AUTONOMOUS MOBILE FENCE, DELIMITER OF GRAZING AREAS

Modular autonomous mobile fence, delimiter of grazing areas. It consists of two structures (10, 20) arranged opposite and distant from each other. Each structure (10, 20) is composed of at least two movable towers, arranged at the ends of the very same row and structurally linked to each other to form a movable row. An electric wire conductor (14, 15) is arranged between these two rows (10, 20) and forms a closed quadrilateral that delimits a closed grazing area (16). Said rows with towers and the area delimited by the electric fence can be selectively moved from one lot to the next, together with the animals kept therein. Said electric fence must have means of separation (31, 32) of the electric conductor from the ground (14, 15) and at least one of the mentioned towers must have means of tensioning (34) the electric conductor.

Wildlife exclusion systems and methods for railway tracks

A wildlife exclusion system for railway tracks is provided which includes an exclusion arrangement positioned to span across the railway tracks at a location along a length of the railway tracks. The exclusion arrangement extends generally perpendicular to the railway tracks and has a series of conductive elements spaced apart from each other to form an exclusion are configured to provide an electric shock to wild animals when particular conductive elements within the exclusion area are bridged thereby. Methods of installing a wildlife exclusion system and methods of discouraging wild animals from traveling along railway tracks are also provided.

Pest Control

Various aspects comprise controlling and/or euthanizing vermin or pests for preventing such vermin or pests from entering into a geographical area or into a building, wherein the device comprises at least one completely or partially uninsulated electrically conducting wire or conductor connected to an electrical current source, providing controlled electrical pulses to said conductor or wire in the form of pulses or pulse trains. The device may be used in a method for controlling the access of pests/vermin to a geographical location, building or property wherein the electrically conducting wire(s) lead(s) an electrical current with an amperage of not less than 0.0001 A. The device and method may be particularly suited for removing/controlling pests/vermin on land.

The device is comprised of two panels in the shape of “L”s that are interwoven with each other when they are placed on the sides of a fence. The device is secured to the ground through a series of holes for that purpose. Additionally, an expander has been placed on the section of the device, both vertical and horizontal, to address the issue of uneven terrain. A row of embedded lights is installed in each of the horizontal panels to provide additional illumination. Alternatively, a series of embedded wires may be installed in the horizontal panels that rest on the ground to provide a small (but not deadly) shock to prevent animals from entering the yard or preventing a family pet from leaving the yard.

MODULAR FENCE ASSEMBLY

A modular fence assembly, including multiple fence modules each comprising: a barrier comprising a pair of substantially parallel end posts, and a base configured to stabilize the respective fence module on a surface. The modular fence assembly further includes multiple connectors each configured to connect two adjacent fence modules of the multiple fence modules, wherein: each of the multiple connectors is configured as a double hinge having a pair of parallel internal channels, and each of the internal channels is configured to embrace an end post of one of the two adjacent fence modules. The multiple fence modules and the multiple connectors are configured to be assembled into a fence.

Scorpion repel surface treatments and method for same

A system and method of applying a slick surface, such as silicone epoxy, is applied on a vertical wall (on or around the perimeter of a structure), as a means of preventing (bark) scorpions (or other insects/arachnids) from climbing up walls. The system is intended, in part, to keep the Arizona bark scorpions out of homes. Vertical surface areas around the home are treated with a material such as silicone. A clear silicone epoxy, that when dry, prevents scorpions from climbing vertically up into a home or structure. This non-toxic epoxy is applied to the base of a home, including door thresholds, steps or other parts of a home which makes contact with the ground. The epoxy is applied to the area by sprayer.

MONITORING OF PET STATUS DURING UNATTENDED DELIVERY

Systems and techniques are described for pet monitoring during unattended delivery. In some implementations, a monitoring system monitors a property includes sensors located throughout the property and generates sensor data. A monitor control unit receives a first indication that a resident of the property will be receiving a delivery during a delivery time. Based on the sensor data and during the delivery time, the monitor control unit determines that a pet, that resides at the property, has been restrained. The monitor control unit provides, to a delivery person, a second indication that the pet at the property has been restrained.
