Press device
A press device includes a press device main body and a main breaker to supply or stop power from an external power supply to the press device main body. The press device main body includes a slide, a bolster disposed below the slide, a servomotor configured to drive the slide, a power storage unit able to supply stored power to the servomotor, a discharge unit configured to discharge a charge stored in the power storage unit, and a first contactor. An upper die can be mounted on the slide. A lower die can be disposed on the bolster. The first contactor interrupts an electrical connection between the power storage unit and the discharge unit in an energized state and electrically connects the power storage unit and the discharge unit in a non-energized state. The first contactor is supplied with power for energization from the external power source without passing through the main breaker.
Manufacturing method for laminated iron core
A manufacturing method for a laminated iron core includes conveying a sheet steel strip in an intermittent manner in a lift up state, with upward movement of the strip being limited by a guiding member provided on a lower holder; punching an outer shape of each iron core laminae; and applying adhesive agent to a surface of the strip before the punching. The adhesive agent is applied in a state in which a pilot pin is inserted in a pilot hole of the strip and when the strip is about to be pressed against or is being pressed against the die plate by a stripper provided on an upper holder. After application of the adhesive agent, the strip is returned to the lift up state by raising the upper holder, with a lifter and the stripper plate being in abutment with the lower and upper surfaces of the strip, respectively.

SHEET METAL WORKING MACHINE
A sheet metal working machine includes a hydraulic drive system to drive a plurality of working tools in a separate and independent manner. The hydraulic drive system includes a plurality of hydraulic cylinders provided with pistons defining thrust chambers and return chambers and associated with corresponding working tools, a reversible first pump connected to the thrust chambers and arranged to send fluid to, or to suck fluid from, at least one of the thrust chambers so as to move the respective piston and the working tool associated therewith, a plurality of valves interposed between the first pump and the thrust chambers of the respective hydraulic cylinders and activable to connect the first pump to the thrust chambers; a hydraulic accumulator connected to the return chambers and arranged for maintaining fluid at a defined preload pressure therein.
Hydraulic hand-held knockout punch driver
A hand-held knockout driver includes a main housing having a handle portion, a motor positioned within the main housing, a pump assembly driven by the motor, and a secondary housing coupled to the main housing and defining a bore therein. The hand-held knockout driver also includes a working piston moveable within the bore from a rest position to an actuated position to define a piston throw distance therebetween. The hand-held knockout driver also includes a draw stud coupled to the working piston, a die coupled to the secondary housing, and a punch coupled to the draw stud opposite the working piston for movement therewith relative to the die. The die has a depth greater than the piston throw distance.
Fluoride-free zirconium-based metal pre-treatment for passivation
A method for anti-corrosion pre-treatment of metal substrates using zirconium-based aqueous anti-corrosion agents comprising polycyclic hydrocarbons that have at least one anellated benzene ring, each having at least two ring-substituted hydroxyl groups in ortho position to each other. The aqueous anti-corrosion agent can be substantially free both of passivating chromium-containing compounds and of fluoride-containing compounds that pickle the metal substrate. Pre-treatment by drying (dry-in-place method) is especially advantageous. Accordingly, the method according to the invention is suitable in particular for the pre-treatment of metal strip, wherein excellent anti-corrosion results are achieved on surfaces of aluminum or steel. The invention further relates to a method for producing coated can lids from aluminum strip by using the previously mentioned zirconium-based anti-corrosion agent. A further aspect comprises an aqueous concentrate for providing the ready-to-use anti-corrosion agents.

Tool magazines of mechanical arrangements and methods for administering tools
A tool magazine for tools of a machine tool for processing workpieces includes a first magazine unit that is close to a processing station of the machine tool and a second magazine unit that is remote from the processing station of the machine tool. The second magazine unit includes a permanent tool carrier and a temporary tool carrier. The permanent tool carrier is permanently accessible to a tool handling device. The temporary tool carrier is temporarily accessible to the tool handling device.
METHODS OF, AND APPARATUSES FOR, METAL FORMING
A method for material forming, by means of a movable impact head and tool combination and a drive unit includes moving the drive unit to provide kinetic energy to the impact head and tool combination, for the impact head and tool combination to strike a work material, so as to form the work material. A return movement of the movable impact head and tool combination, away from the work material, after the strike of the work material by the impact head and tool combination, is dampened.
EDGE FORMABILITY IN METALLIC ALLOYS
This disclosure is directed at mechanical property improvement in a metallic alloy that has undergone one or more mechanical property losses as a consequence of forming an edge, such as in the formation of an internal hole or an external edge. Methods are disclosed that provide the ability to improve mechanical properties of metallic alloys that have been formed with one or more edges placed in the metallic alloy by a variety of methods which may otherwise serve as a limiting factor for industrial applications.
