Control system for a livestock feed mixer
A control system for mixing materials for livestock feed including a container that receives the materials, agitators that mix the materials in the container, a driveline that drives the agitators at an output speed with an output torque, a power source that provides an input speed at an input torque, a continuously variable transmission that connects the driveline and the power source and having a hydrostatic loop to provide a speed ratio between the input speed and the output speed, a plurality of sensors positioned between the power source and the agitators that provides mixing signals commensurate to mixing parameters, and an electronic control unit configured to receive the mixing signals, extract mixing parameter values from the mixing signals, and actuate the continuously variable transmission and adjust the speed ratio based on the mixing parameter values to enhance efficiency of the mixing of the materials.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR FODDER ADMINISTRATION
A method and system are arranged to perform a feed-related action at a feed table, upon which fodder for feeding of a group of animals is present. The system includes a sensor, configured to measure constituents, physical property or chemical property of the fodder on the feed table at a first point in time; a database, configured to store the measured constituents, physical property or chemical property of the fodder, associated with the first point in time; and a controller, configured to perform the feed-related action, based on the measured constituents, physical property or chemical property of the fodder.
Multifunctional intelligent breeding and rearing system
Disclosed is a multifunctional intelligent breeding and rearing system. Functional modules such as a radio-frequency ear tag and identification device, a central controller (1), an isolation and dislodging device (2), a multifunctional feeding trough (3), an automatic feeding device (4), a quantitative water supply device, a feeding trough automatic flushing and a remaining feed detection are utilized to form a basic automatic feeding unit. Through the feeding unit, an identity and eating information of a pig is identified; for a pig that does not eat during a feeding time period, feed and water are injected into a feeding trough simultaneously according to a feed amount and a mixing ratio preset by the system, for precise feeding; a pig that has eaten up is dislodged in real time; and the feeding trough is automatically flushed at an end of feeding. The system realizes automatic and intelligent feeding of a livestock.
Packaged Food Product and Method of Producing the Packaged Food Product
A packaged food product includes a container and a food product. The container has a rim and at least one wall extending away from the rim. The at least one wall defines a storage area, and the food product is retained within the storage area such that the food product is in contact with the at least one wall. The at least one wall is readily deformable by a hand of a user to reduce a volume of the storage area. Reducing the volume of the storage area causes the food product to exit the storage area. The container includes an integral tool portion including a tine extending from a distal end of the tool portion for breaking up the food product after removal from the storage area. The food product can be a wet cat or dog food.

Animal feed launcher apparatus
An animal feed launcher apparatus for feeding and attracting animals from a distance includes a launch tube having a tube proximal end, a tube distal end, and a sidewall defining a tube inside. The sidewall has at least one cocking slot extending through to the tube inside. The tube inside slidingly receives a feed sock filled with animal feed. A cap is coupled to the launch tube within the tube proximal end. A disc is coupled within the launch tube and is slidably engaged within the tube inside. A compression spring is coupled to the disc and extends between the disc and the cap within the tube inside. A cocking pin coupled to the disc and extends through the cocking slot.

Control of a continuously variable transmission in a mixer
A transmission system for a feed mixer including a continuously variable transmission (CVT) is provided. The CVT includes a mechanical loop and a hydrostatic loop. The CVT is operated so that the mechanical portion of the CVT is prevented from overtaking the hydrostatic portion of the CVT at start up of the CVT.
