COMPRESSIVE FORMING PROCESSES FOR ENHANCING COLLAPSE RESISTANCE IN METALLIC TUBULAR PRODUCTS
Metallic tubular products having improved collapse resistance are disclosed. The metallic tubular products are produced by compressive forming processes. The method comprises identifying the types of stress that can be applied in order to change the residual stress profile of metallic tubular products, such as those that have completed a straightening process, and results in a residual stress profile that improves collapse resistance. The metallic tubular products are subjected to radial compression processing to control the residual stress profile and to enhance collapse resistance. The radial compression process may be used after the tubular product has been subjected to a straightening process.
FLAT TOP METAL GAINER
A method of forming a metal part that includes placing a metal blank in a stamping apparatus having a first die including a plurality of metal gainers and a second die including a plurality of recesses that correspond to the plurality of metal gainers, and compressing the metal blank such that the metal gainers and the corresponding recesses provide the metal blank with regions of localized stretching. Each of the metal gainers and recesses includes a flat surface such that during the compressing of the metal blank to provide the metal blank with the regions of localized stretching, a strain exerted on the metal blank by the metal gainers and recesses is less than a strain exerted on the metal blank by metal gainers and recesses that do not include the flat surface.
Method for producing a socket contact
The invention relates to a method for producing a socket contact consisting of a sleeve and a contact cage which are formed from a first and a second metal strip. In said method, at least one step for forming the sleeve and a step for forming the contact cage are carried out in a parallel shaping process.
Method for manufacturing light-reflection aluminum door frame molding
Disclosed is a method for manufacturing a light-reflection aluminum door frame molding which comprises a multi-coating-applied aluminum material to thereby improve corrosion resistance and reduce costs. A method for manufacturing a light-reflection aluminum door frame molding includes cutting a metallic plate into a predetermined size, performing anodizing on the metallic plate to form an oxidized film on a surface thereof, performing opaque clear coating and transparent coating on the metallic plate to implement light reflection, and performing press molding on the metallic plate to provide the metallic plate in the shape of a door frame molding.
Method and device for machining and/or producing a component and such a component
A method for machining includes providing a component or a semifinished part which has a main body with a first surface and with a first surface coating provided on the first surface. The method also includes notching the component or the semifinished part on the first surface coated with the first surface coating. The method also includes severing, perforating or trimming the component or the semifinished part along the notch. At least a part of the first surface coating which is notched in the process is maintained along notch surfaces.
Hybrid stamping system
A hybrid stamping system for forming a work-piece includes a stamping press. The press includes first and second dies that have respective first and second die bases formed from a first material. The system also includes first and second inlays. Each inlay is formed from a second material and has opposing die and work-piece sides. The second material hardness is greater than the first material hardness. The die side of the first inlay is cast into the first base and the work-piece side of the first inlay is contoured to form one side of the work-piece. The die side of the second inlay is cast into the second base and the work-piece side of the second inlay is contoured to form another side of the work-piece. The first and second dies are mounted in the press opposite one another to form the work-piece between the first and second inlays.
Uncoiling, blanking and forming method
An uncoiling, blanking and forming method includes the steps of: 1) uncoiling a steel coil, wherein a steel strip uncoiled from the steel coil is cleaned and straightened and is fed by a pinch roller to a blanking region; 2) laser blanking, wherein the steel coil enters the blanking region, is cut by a laser cutting head by way of laser blanking to form sheets with a required shape, with waste materials falling down and being conveyed to the outside; 3) outputting the sheets, wherein the sheets pass over a magnetic telescopic belt conveyor, and then carried by means of a manipulator or a robot to a stamping process; 4) stamping forming, wherein the sheets are stamped to form workpieces; and 5) checking, wherein the workpieces are checked and put in storage. The present invention can achieve joining-up in series of a blanking line and a stamping forming line and realize matching therebetween, and can reduce intermediate steps such as stacking, packing, transportation, positioning, unpacking, carrying, and centring of sheets and stamping-formed workpieces, and also can reduce the room required for transfer, simplify the work flow and joins up procedures in series, to directly machine a material coil by laser blanking to form formed parts.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR VARYING THE GAGE OF METAL STRIPS
A variable thickness process and system for processing steel strips to obtain a profile with at least two different thicknesses along its width which includes at least one heating step, and at least one stretching step and one straightening step.
