A die of a stamping press includes: an upper portion including one or more first features and first bores that extend partially through the upper portion; magnets disposed within the first bores, respectively; a lower portion including one or more second features that are complementary to the first features and second bores at locations, respectively, that extend partially through the lower portion; and magnetic flux sensors that are disposed within the second bores, respectively, and that are adjacent to the magnets, respectively, and that are configured to measure distances between the upper and lower portions at the locations.

Tool magazine for a bending machine

The invention relates to a tool magazine (26) for a bending machine (3), in particular for a press brake, wherein the tool magazine (26) has several storage rails (28), which are arranged in a magazine housing (27) and serve to hold bending tools (4), wherein the storage rails (28) are designed in such a way that several bending tools (4) can fit lined up one behind the other in the longitudinal extension (30) of the storage rails. The storage rails (28) can be pulled out from a front side (29) of the magazine housing (27) in the direction of the longitudinal extension (30) of the storage rails.

A stock lifter for metal forming dies includes a self-contained assembly. The assembly includes a guide pin that reciprocates within a base. A hardened end cap, which contacts the stock, is attached to the guide pin. A spring is located on the exterior surface of a portion of the base and surrounds the guide pin body. One end of the spring contacts a surface on the cap, while the other end of the spring contacts a surface on the base or an optional mounting flange that is attached above the base. Thus, the stock lifter assembly has a hardened cap for the stock to slide on and a larger, externally mounted spring that provides longer life for the stock lifter. The stock lifter assembly can be made of several different lengths and sizes by using longer or wider guide pins and springs.
