METHOD FOR PRESS-ROLLING A TIMEPIECE MAINSPRING
20170355012 · 2017-12-14 · ·

Method for press-rolling a mainspring, from a wire comprising a pre-formed eye, utilising a roller press comprising a first support and guide means exerting a force on the wire in a first contact area located between a second and a third contact area comprised in a second and a third support and guide means, in order to wind, beyond the eye, an accumulation area with an opposite curvature to that of the eye, and wherein, as the wire advances, the position of the first contact area is gradually moved away from the second and third contact areas, to vary the press-rolling radius from a first minimum value to a second maximum value at a neck junction between the accumulation area and the eye.

STATOR ASSEMBLY APPARATUS AND STATOR ASSEMBLY METHOD

There are provided first guide members inserted into the insides of the insulating members in the slots, second guide members inserted into the insides of the insulating members and onto outer sides relative to the first guide members in a radial direction in the slots, and a controller controlling movement of each of the first guide members and the second guide members. After the first guide member moves outward in the radial direction in the slot until coming into contact with or close to a second guide member, the plurality of second guide members are caused to sequentially move to an outer side of the stator core in the central axis direction in order with the second guide member closest to the first guide members first and retreat from the slot as the coil is moved outward in the radial direction by the pressers.

AN IMPROVED STRING FOR A MUSICAL INSTRUMENT

The invention relates to a string (1) for a stringed, bowed musical instrument, for example a bowed musical instrument like violin, viola or cello. The string has a first, load bearing core (10) and a winding strand (100) wound around the first core in helical windings. A damping agent (40) suitable for vibration damping is arranged in a profiled recess (150) in the winding strand. The recess is functioning as a reservoir between the first core and the winding strand. The reservoir is containing and/or retaining the damping agent so as to, at least, reduce dissipation of the damping agent through a gap between the adjacent helical windings of the winding strand. The invention results in a longer lifetime with optimum acoustic properties of the string.
