Animal tag system
Apparatus for managing animals such as but not limited to livestock. In some embodiments, an ear tag assembly has a tag, a backing member and an elongated shaft assembly configured to pierce and extend through an outer ear (auricle) of the animal. A first temperature sensor is disposed within the shaft assembly to obtain an ear temperature measurement of the animal. A second temperature sensor obtains an ambient temperature measurement adjacent the animal. A control circuit accumulates temperature data from the first and second temperature sensors in a tag memory for subsequent transfer, via a wireless communication network, to a data collection unit. Additional sensors may be utilized. In some cases, the backing member may house a battery to power the control circuit. The backing member may be removably attachable to the shaft to allow replacement of the battery.
Automatic electric fence boundary adjustment
Systems and techniques are described for pet monitoring during unattended delivery. In some implementations, a monitoring system monitors a property includes sensors located throughout the property and generates sensor data. A monitor control unit receives a first indication that a resident of the property will be receiving a delivery during a delivery time. Based on the sensor data and during the delivery time, the monitor control unit determines that a pet, that resides at the property, has been restrained. The monitor control unit provides, to a delivery person, a second indication that the pet at the property has been restrained.
Computer implemented animal management system
Specifically, a computer implemented animal management program having modules which function to match animal information retrieved from a radiofrequency identification device(s) implanted in an animal(s) with animal information retrieved from a database of at least one computer to assess animal condition and time treatment events.
An Animal Tag
an animal tag comprising: a one-piece animal tag retaining member made of molded material, having: a first part comprising a female opening connectable to a male member for coupling the animal tag to a body part of an animal; a second part configured to accommodate one or more electronical components capable of obtaining information relating to the animal to which the animal tag is coupled; an intermediate part, located between the first tag part and the second tag part, having a form of a latitudinal recess for enhancing a flexibility of the animal tag.
PREDATION DETECTION ANIMAL TRACKING TAG
A magnetic tracking tag for animals may detect the occurrence of a predation event. The tag may include a pH sensitive material that degrades in the environment of a predator's gut. The degradation of the pH sensitive material causes a change in a detectable magnetic field of the tag, which allows the tag to detect the predation event and adjust its operation accordingly.
Animal Wellness Monitoring Systems and Methods
An animal management system for monitoring a plurality of animals over time includes a data management subsystem and a data acquisition subsystem, which includes RF asset tags. The data acquisition acquires data concerning the animals and efficiently provides it to aspects of the system for processing. The data may also include information from an environment data acquisition subsystem. The data management subsystem determines current wellness scores for each animal of a group of animals and a period wellness score for each animal over a larger period of time. Alerts may be sent went data shows an animal outside of threshold values. Other embodiments are presented.
Method for tagging and tracking wildlife
A method for tagging and tracking animals utilizes a plurality of user accounts and a plurality of species profiles. A user account of the plurality of user accounts is utilized to enter tag information from a tag of a plurality of tracking tags. More specifically, the tag is attached to a specific animal. When the tag information is entered, a relevant profile from the plurality of species profiles is selected. The relevant profile has information related to the specific animal. Next, the user completes a plurality of fields related to the specific animal which is saved into the relevant profile. Simultaneously, a list of geographical information is completed and saved into the relevant profile. As a result, the relevant profile is saved with the latest information of the specific animal. When required, a premium account of the plurality of user accounts is used to view the relevant profile.
METHOD FOR OBTAINING INFORMATION ABOUT A FARM ANIMAL
The invention relates to a method for obtaining information about a farm animal, wherein a device (a) is attached to the head region of an animal, said device containing at least one acceleration sensor by means of which recurring acceleration data is measured, wherein the acceleration data is evaluated using automatic data processing means, and, as an outcome of the evaluation, is indicative of the activities and/or conditions of the animal. The acquired acceleration data is evaluated in order to detect the swallowing processes carried out by the animal.
LOST AND FOUND NOTIFICATIONS FOR PETS BASED ON GEOLOCATION AND PROFILE INFORMATION
An infrastructure and methodologies to support automated lost and found pet alerts based on geo-proximity and other criteria. In various embodiments, a pet/dog owner initiates a lost pet alert by entering location and lost pet report information via a downloadable application. This information is processed and stored in a database maintained by a cloud/remote server. The server identifies potential recipients for a lost pet alert and transmits alerts for display on user devices meeting select criteria such as proximity thresholds. Upon receiving a found pet report, the server sends an automated found pet notice to the owner of the animal and other users meeting predetermined criteria. Curated listings of lost and found pet notifications may also be maintained for selective presentation on user devices.
Electrosprayer for arthropod tagging
Disclosed is an apparatus and associated method for tagging insects and arthropods. According to an exemplary embodiment of this disclosure, an electrosprayer is provided including a nozzle cartridge, a spray chamber removably attached to the nozzle cartridge and a power supply operatively connected to the nozzle cartridge and a grounding plate within the spray chamber to electrically charge droplets expelled from the nozzle which coat one or more insects contained in the spray chamber.
