VIRTUAL CONTAINMENT ZONE USING ULTRA-WIDEBAND
A virtual containment zone system is provided. The virtual containment zone system includes a plurality of beacons, a plurality of joining segments, and a tracking device. Each of the plurality of beacons employ ultra-wideband and define a vertex of a virtual containment zone boundary that forms the perimeter of a virtual containment zone. Each of the plurality of joining segments define the virtual containment zone boundary between two of the plurality of beacons. The tracking device comprises a processing device. The processing device is configured to determine the virtual containment zone boundary, enable one or more of the plurality of joining segments to take an action in response to a location of the tracking device, determine the location of the tracking device, determine, based on the location of the tracking device, an action to take, and send, to the tracking device, a signal to perform the action.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING CONTROLLED FOOD PORTIONS TO AN ANIMAL AND ASSESSING THE ANIMAL'S HEALTH
A feeding station for at least one animal, said feeding station comprising at least one supply hopper having a food product; a food dispensing unit having means for dispensing controlled portions of said food product; a weigh hopper for receiving said food product from said food dispensing unit; a hemi-circular disc-shaped feeding platform for receiving said food product from said weigh hopper; and a hemi-frustoconical sweeping member comprises at least one compartment to contain said food product on hemi-circular disc-shaped feeding platform; said hemi-frustoconical sweeping member rotatable on a top surface of said hemi-circular disc-shaped feeding platform to remove unconsumed food product off said feeding platform after a feeding event.
SELF-ORIENTING ANIMAL COLLAR WITH PROGRAMMABLE MODULAR ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS
Disclosed modular animal collar systems include a D ring exoskeleton system, a breakaway latch tongue system and other systems. Disclosed collars may be self-orienting. Disclosed collars include auto release systems to ensure that collars do not choke or otherwise injure a pet. Collars include sophisticated electronics to commutate with a pet owner's smart phone but also include means of communication not requiring the use of a smart phone. Collars may include a base collar containing a micro controller and other computer related components. Surrounding modular components may contain additional equipment and may be added as needed by a pet owner. Disclosed collar functions are executed by the disclosed collars and facilitate the retrieval, care and training of a pet.
Rotating animal milking platform control and monitoring system
A control and monitoring system for a rotating animal platform which includes multiple animal stalls arranged about its periphery, where the system includes an interactive display screen which displays output information relating to the current status of operations on the platform and which displays input channels for use by an operator, the platform itself is represented at said interactive display screen by an annular shape, each stall on the platform is graphically represented by a cell, the cells are displayed in a spatial arrangement corresponding to the arrangement of stalls on the platform, real-time status information relating to operations on the platform is represented at each cell, and the rotating movement of the platform is represented by the progression of each cell about the displayed representation of the platform.
External and Internal Monitoring of Animal Physiology and Behavior
A method and system for the continuous monitoring of animal physiology and behavior through the use of a smart body worn animal harness, smart collar or restraint system which captures, pre-processes, monitors, and transmits data captured from a plurality of externally-based, skin contact-based, and internally located RFID implants to a cloud-based infrastructure for further processing and augmentation to support real time alerting and animal health analytical systems.
Animal Identification System Comprising an Animal Identification Device and a Sampling Member
The invention relates to an animal identification system comprising an animal identification device and a sampling member. The animal identification device comprises a male part comprising a shank (12) extending from a support (11) and ending in a locking head (122) intended to be inserted into a female part so as to fix said identification device to an animal, said shank having passing through it a longitudinal canal that allows the passage of said animal tissue sampling member. The shank (12) comprises stiffening means comprising at least one abutment element (13) protruding into the canal, located between the middle of the shank and the distal end of the head (124), said at least one abutment element defining a bearing zone against which at least one bearing element of the sampling member can bear while animal tissue is being sampled. The sampling member comprises at least one bearing element that complements said at least one abutment element of said male part.
System and method for controlling fluid distribution in a water basin
A system and method are provided that can detect the presence of a user such as a mammal (e.g., a horse), and fill a water basin to enable the user to consume the water. The system can detect consumption of the water in the basin and refill one or more times. After detecting that the user is no longer in the vicinity, any remaining water can be drained from the basin. In addition to detecting the presence of the user, an ID can be associated with certain users of the system to track water consumption and other metrics. This data can be gathered, stored, and provided to a server or service (e.g., in the cloud) to enable data to be logged, processed, analyzed and alerts, reports and notifications provided to entities that monitor the users, e.g., to track hydration of the users.
ANIMAL COLLAR HAVING A TAG HOUSING
An animal collar including a tag housing with a transparent cover. The tag housing is affixed to the collar and adapted to house one or more tags associated with the animal. The transparent cover is adapted to secure the tags against the collar while enabling viewing of information on the tags. A fastener ensures that the tags do not fall out of the tag housing.

Piglet ear-tagging station
An ear tagging station includes a cart or table having at least one tagging pliers mounted thereon. The pliers have jaws which are normally open to receive male and female tag parts. An actuating arm engages one of the plier handles. A foot pedal on the cart is depressed to lift the arm and thereby close the plier jaws so as to secure the ear tag to a piglet's ear.
