The first apparatus has a lock for fixing the first apparatus to the living target, a tamper-evidencing mechanism, mechanisms for monitoring a GPS location of the first apparatus, determining the first apparatus is within at least one of a first threshold distance from the second apparatus or a first threshold distance from a pre-set GPS location, warning the living target responsive to the determining the first apparatus is within the at least one of the first threshold distance from the second apparatus or the first threshold distance from the pre-set GPS location, determining the first apparatus is in a banned location, and emitting a debilitating sound.

In accordance with embodiments disclosed herein, there are provided methods and systems for real-time beef cattle monitoring utilizing Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) based technologies. For example, there is disclosed a system having at least a memory to store instructions; a processor to execute the instructions; a database to store data for heads of livestock, wherein each head of livestock is individually identified via a Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) tag, the RFID tag uniquely identifying each of the heads of livestock to the system; a plurality of antennas to read information transmitted from the RFID tags; a transactional and analytical server to receive the information transmitted from the RFID tags and to store the information in the database; wherein the transactional and analytical server to further analyze the information stored in the database to identify when each head of livestock is present within a defined feeding zone; and monitoring the heads of livestock for anomalous feeding behavior based on the analysis. Machine learning models are trained using audio-visual, sensor and historical data to learn to predict the identities of registered animals based on the sight or sound of the animals. Behaviors of animals that are unsafe and should be corrected can be remediated, minimized or altered using IoT devices positioned within the monitoring zone perform pre-determined actions initiated automatically in response to identification of unsafe behaviors or upon verification by users of the occurrence of the unsafe events or conditions within the monitoring zone.
