Method and device for producing rotationally symmetrical metal components
A method for producing rotationally symmetric structural components of metal, in particular steel, is provided. A blank is arranged in a torsion-proof manner on a first receptacle, the receptacle is rotated about a rotation axis so that the blank is caused to rotate about this rotation axis, at least one linear shaping element with a contour having at least partially an unrolled external contour of the rotationally symmetric structural component or a preform of the structural component is moved tangentially to the surface of the synchronously rotating blank, and the linear shaping element is at the same time pressed against the blank so that during the tangential movement the contour of the linear shaping element is formed at least partially into the blank. A kingpin or link pin of a connection link with a connection shaft and a link outer part is produced.
MANUFACTURING METHOD
A method of manufacturing a component, the method including a maraging steel blank with an initial shape; and performing an incremental cold forming operation on the maraging steel blank, wherein the incremental cold forming operation reduces a thickness of the maraging steel blank.
Counterbore Tool and Setting Tool for Fascia System and Installation Method
A drilling tool has a working piece retained by a retainer mounted to a collar. The working piece includes a distal shank and a cutting section and is rotationally fixed relative to the retainer. The retainer may include an engagement protrusion positioned outward of the shank with the protrusion engaging an inner surface of the collar or the collar may include an engagement protrusion with the protrusion engaging an inner surface of the retainer to create a quasi-floating relationship between the retainer and collar. The cutting section may have a distal primary bore cutting sub-section and a proximal counterbore cutting sub-section. The collar includes a lower surface for abutment against a building member during drilling operation to halt axial movement of the tool.
METHOD FOR CROSS-WEDGE ROLLING POPPET VALVES
The invention relates to a method for producing poppet valves, the method including: cross-wedge rolling a preform (2), which has at least one disk portion (4) and a shaft portion, to produce a valve blank (10), wherein a diameter of the shaft portion (6) is reduced substantially to a shaft diameter of a shaft (16), and additionally a length of the shaft portion (6) is increased substantially to a length of the shaft (16) by means of a rolling-out process.
FORGING ROLL DEVICE
A forging roll device includes, a pair of roll axes which are provided so that an axis center of each of the roll axes are parallel to each other and in which a die is attached to each of the roll axes; and a material holder/conveyer which conveys a held shaping target material between the pair of roll axes, wherein, each one of the pair of roll axes includes a plurality of die attaching surfaces positioned in a circumferential direction, and an outer circumferential surface between any of two of the plurality of die attaching surfaces in each one of the pair of roll axes is closer to a planar surface than a cylindrical surface with the axis center as the center.

INTERNALLY COOLED VALVE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES, AS WELL AS METHOD AND DEVICE FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
A method and a device for the production of an internally cooled inlet or outlet valve for internal combustion engines, together with the resultant valve includes provision of a workpiece, which has a cylindrical stem and a cylindrical hole and, extends in the axial direction from one end of the valve stem. The method includes reshaping the end of the valve stern by form rolling of the cylindrical stem to a smaller diameter, wherein a diameter of the cylindrical hole is reduced, wherein the cylindrical hole remains. The method further includes reshaping by form rolling the section of the workpiece that is adjacent to the valve stem to form the valve head.

Pin fin forming method
A pin fin forming method is a method of forming a plurality of pin fins on a surface of a metal plate by subjecting the metal plate to extrusion using a die having a plurality of through-holes and a roll. The pin fin forming method includes placing the metal plate between the die and the roll, and pressing the metal plate from a first end of the metal plate to a second end of the metal plate, by moving the roll relative to the die. The metal plate is pressed from the first end of the metal plate to the second end of the metal plate, in a state where a side surface of the second end of the metal plate and an upper surface of the second end of the metal plate are fixed.
