INSERT MOUNTING DEVICE
An insert (cover member) is formed of an iron-based alloy. A casting mold is constituted by a fixed mold and a movable mold. An insert housing portion (cover housing portion) for housing the insert is formed in a separation surface between the fixed mold and the movable mold, and a magnet is embedded in the insert housing portion of either the fixed mold or the movable mold. A robot grips the insert with a gripping portion (hand) to convey the insert to a position facing the insert housing portion, releases the insert at the facing position in a state where a predetermined clearance is secured between the insert and the insert housing portion, and causes the insert to be attracted to the insert housing portion by the magnet.
LAMINATION MOLDING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THREE-DIMENSIONAL MOLDED OBJECT
A lamination molding apparatus includes a molding room, a chamber, a chamber window, a molding table, a molding table driving device, surrounding walls, an irradiation device, a measuring unit, and a controller. The measuring unit includes a first measuring device acquiring a measured value of a light intensity, and a second measuring device acquiring a value of a beam diameter, and measures laser beams outputted based on set values of light intensity during molding. The controller determines an abnormality has occurred when a slope of a linear function obtained from a relationship between the measured value of the light intensity and the value of the beam diameter at a predetermined height is out of a predetermined range, or when a slope of a linear function obtained from a relationship between the measured value of the light intensity and a value of a focal position is out of a predetermined range.
SAND MOULD IDENTIFICATION DEVICE
The sand mould identification device has a housing with an identification pattern face adapted to be arranged in a pattern forming surface of a sand moulding machine. Individually adjustable indicator elements in the identification pattern face are adjustable by means of an actuators. The housing includes an insertion portion adapted to be inserted into a corresponding recess of said sand moulding machine. The identification pattern face is located at a front end of the insertion portion. The insertion portion is adapted to be inserted into the sand moulding machine in an insertion direction extending from a rear end to the front end of the insertion portion. A mounting bracket is accessible at or behind the rear end of the insertion portion for mounting or demounting the housing to or from the sand moulding machine or core shooter.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR WELDING TOOL AUTOMATION
The present disclosure relates to a hot knife having a removable blade or tip that has been specifically designed to perform knife joining operations. The knife is mounted to a quick change tool that connects to the end of a robotic arm.
MOLDING SYSTEM
A molding system molding a sand mold includes a flask, a tank connected to a compressed air source, including an opened end part, and configured to internally store sand, a nozzle attached to the end part of the tank and configured to guide the sand in the tank into the flask, and a control unit configured to output information about clogging of the nozzle when, during sand filling in which the sand in the tank is introduced into the flask through the nozzle, a relationship where pressure inside the tank is higher than initial pressure during the sand filling in which the sand is introduced into the flask is satisfied.
ANGLED TIP RODS
A core is provided for fabricating a blade to include an airfoil. The airfoil includes pressure and suction surfaces, leading and trailing edges extending along the pressure and suction surfaces and a tip shelf with a first sweep configuration and a wall. The core includes channel sections configured to form internal channels within the airfoil by casting processes and tip rods extending from respective portions of the channel sections proximate to a tip shelf location. The respective portions of the channel sections have a second sweep configuration corresponding to the first sweep configuration. The tip rods are configured to extend through the wall at an angle of about 5-12 degrees inclusive relative to a normal angle of the wall during the casting processes to form through-holes angled at about 5-12 degrees inclusive in the wall.
MOLD PROCESSING SYSTEM AND MOLD PROCESSING METHOD
A mold processing system includes a conveyance line intermittently conveying a mold with a predetermined standstill time, a processing apparatus, a conveyance apparatus conveying the processing apparatus along the conveyance line, and a control unit, wherein the control unit controls the conveyance apparatus to set the processing apparatus at a position corresponding to a first position on the conveyance line and controls the processing apparatus to perform a part of the process on the mold conveyed to the first position, and the control unit controls, after completion of the part of the process, the conveyance apparatus to move the processing apparatus to a position corresponding to a second position and controls the processing apparatus to perform the rest of the process within the standstill time.
Method and apparatus for conveying sand molds
Method and apparatus for feeding sand molds laterally and/o between stations of differing heights. The method and apparatus of this invention utilize walking-beam-type conveyors having spaced apart fixed outboard rails and a central reciprocating rail. Walking-beam conveyors can be disposed in perpendicular directions with a junction therebetween that allows for a perpendicular change in direction. The method and apparatus of this invention include lift, leveling, and/or lateral transfer mechanisms for lateral placement of the stations relative to the conveyance path.
Foundry production line and method of operating such foundry production line
The foundry production line includes a sand moulding machine, a melt pouring device, a shakeout machine, a finishing apparatus, an inspection station and a computer controlled database system. A pattern plate is provided with a sand mould identification device including a plurality of individually adjustable indicator elements adapted to impress an identification pattern in a sand mould part. Each indicator element has rounded edges and indicates a direction. An automatic image detection system includes an imaging device arranged at the inspection station and being adapted to provide a digital image of an individual identification pattern formed in a cleaned casting. The automatic image detection system includes a computer system running a computer program developed by means of machine learning to analyse the digital image and thereby detect the individual identification pattern.
