A dual-purpose muzzle is capable of protecting the canine handler from a bite while providing lifesaving oxygen to a canine in distress. The muzzle is designed to clip behind the head like a soft muzzle while delivering needed oxygen with its internal oxygen tubing and specially designed port for quick hook up. The port allows for any standard EMS tubing to connect to the muzzle. This allows for a continuous flow of oxygen directed to the snout and mouth of the canine allowing the handler to be hands free to address any other emergencies.

A pet guard device has a plurality of layers of movable elements. The movable elements are arranged in a telescoping manner. An activation mechanism is coupled to the layers of movable elements and is configured to move the layers of movable elements between a retracted state and an expanded state. A triggering device, when activated, is configured to cause the activation device to move the layers of movable elements to the expanded state. An attempt by the pet to move its head in either direction activates pressure points along the neck collar causing the telescopic mechanism to be activated, effectively creating a muzzle along the pet's jaw. The muzzle effectively creates a barrier between the pet's mouth and the bodily area intended to be avoided.

AIR POLLUTION MASK FOR CANINES OR THE LIKE

A canine mask is provided for filtering air pollution from inhaled air. A main body of the mask may comprise flexible/semi-flexible material that is formed in a generally hollow cylindrical-, hollow frustrum-, or hollow frustoconical-shape. The proximal end of the main body may comprise strap(s) providing a securing mechanism, and the distal end may provide a panting valve. An adjustment mechanism may be provide near the proximal end to allow adjustment of muzzle circumference. The main body may provide a filter pocket where an air filter may be placed to filter inhaled air, whereas the panting valve allows exhaled air to exit. When properly placed and secured on a canine's snout, the mask forms a seal so that exhaled air exits the panting valve and inhaled air only enters through the air filter cleaning incoming air of pollutants.
