More specifically, the pet wellness and training device comprises: an upper barrier configured to be disposed at least partially adjacent to a roof of the animal's mouth, a lower barrier configured to be disposed at least partially adjacent to a floor of the animal's mouth, a frame disposed between and connecting the upper barrier and the lower barrier, a breathable barrier extending between at least a portion of the upper barrier and at least a portion of the lower barrier, and at least one expansion member configured to urge the upper barrier and the lower barrier away from each other. In some embodiments, the upper and lower barrier may be integrally formed as one piece, configured to fit securely inside the animal's mouth.
