Portable electric heating mat for use by an animal
An electric heating mat may include an outer sleeve having an interior, and an access end with an opening to the interior. The access end may be folded upon itself into a closed condition, and unfolded into an opened condition. When the access end is closed, the interior of the outer sleeve may provide a sealed enclosure. The sealed enclosure may accommodate and protect internal components, such as heating elements, a power source, and associated controls. The heating elements, associated wiring, and an insulation layer may be provided in an inner sleeve, which may be insertable into the outer sleeve as a unit. When the access end is opened, the opening provides access to the internal components. Such access allows the power source to be turned on to supply power to the heating elements.

METHOD FOR MATCHING A SENSOR DEVICE TO AN IDENTITY (ID) TAG FOR ANIMALS AND SYSTEM FOR PERFORMING SUCH METHOD
A system and method for automatically matching a sensor device attached to an animal with an ID tag attached to the animal, wherein a handheld reader device triggers transmission of sensor device information from the sensor device and triggers transmission of ID information from the ID tag, and a monitoring device, in communication with the handheld reader device, is configured to determine and record that the ID tag and the sensor device are attached to a same animal based on time information associated with both the ID information transmitted from the ID tag and the sensor device information transmitted from the sensor device.
VIRTUAL AND DIGITAL RESEARCH MODEL AND RELATED METHODS FOR IMPROVING ANIMAL HEALTH AND PERFORMANCE OUTCOMES
A method and system for conducting virtual and digital research is provided. The method and systems seek to improve livestock health and outcomes.
POSITION INFORMATION TRANSMISSION DEVICE, POSITION INFORMATION TRANSMISSION METHOD, AND PROGRAM
A communication device is attached to an animal in a facility, for example, using a band. The communication device transmits at least a position of the communication device (hereinafter referred to as position information) and identification information of the communication device (hereinafter referred to as a communication device ID) to a position information transmission device. The position information transmission device uses the position information and the identification information received from the communication device to select an animal whose position information is to be delivered. The position information transmission device transmits the position information about the selected animal to at least one of an in-zoo display device, a user terminal, and a staff member terminal.
Agricultural drone for use in livestock feeding
A method and system utilizing one or more agricultural drones for real-time monitoring, delivery and dispensing of feed in feed bunks associated with feed lots.
Livestock health monitoring system having temperature monitoring positioned through a rotational device and methods of use
An animal wellness notification system includes an attachment body configured to securely engage with an ear of the animal; an elongated temperature probe secured to the attachment body and configured to extend within the ear of the animal; a housing secured to the attachment body; a computer disposed within the housing and operably associated with the temperature probe; and a notification device in data communication with the computer, the notification device being configured to provide notice if a temperature of the animal goes beyond a determined threshold.
System and method of estimating livestock weight
A system and method for estimating livestock weight is described. Embodiments of the system can include a computing device and a three-dimensional tag configured to be secured to an animal. One or more images of an animal, including the three-dimensional tag, can be processed to take various measurements of the animal. A scaling factor for the measurements can be based on the three-dimensional tag. After the measurement are calibrated, a weight of the animal can be estimated based on the calibrated measurements.

Improving detection, prevention, and reaction in a warning system for animal farrowing operations
A detector for detecting a signal from one or more feeders. A processor is in communication with the can be configured with an artificial intelligence module and a library of pre-recorded action events and for comparing the signal with the library of pre-recorded action events and determining a likely action event. A warning device can be in communication with the processor for providing an output in response to the likely action event. At least one false positive sensor in communication with either the processor or the warning device or both of the processor and the warning device can be used for stopping the output from the warning device upon a predetermined condition.
