Hole machining tool and guide pad adjustment mechanism therefor
A hole machining tool includes an outwardly facing pad pocket and a guide pad secured therein. The pad pocket includes a pocket base surface and a wedge member which includes opposite wedge top and bottom surfaces which forming an acute wedge angle therebetween. The wedge bottom surface abuts the pocket base surface and the guide pad abuts the wedge top surface. The machining tool further includes an adjustment screw which abuts the wedge member and configured to move the wedge member along the pocket base surface. The machining tool further includes a clamping member which passes through a wedge opening in the wedge member and configured to secure the guide pad and the wedge member in the pad pocket.
Damping arbor
The present invention relates to a damping arbor, including a rod body and a damping mechanism. A diameter of the rod body is larger than or equal to 60 mm. The rod body includes an end surface for being connected with a cutter head assembly and further defining an axis. The damping mechanism includes at least three shock absorbing assemblies. The at least three shock absorbing assemblies are inserted into the end surface and surrounding the axis with equal intervals.
ELECTROLUMINESCENT ELEMENT WITHIN LAMINATE
A laminate having an electroluminescent element disposed within the laminate is disclosed. The laminate includes a first paper layer having at least first and second vias through the first paper layer; a first electrically-conductive layer comprising an electrically-conductive material, the first electrically-conductive layer being disposed over the first paper layer; a dielectric layer disposed over the first electrically-conductive layer; a light emissive layer comprising an electroluminescent material, the light emissive layer being disposed over the dielectric layer; a second electrically-conductive layer comprising a translucent electrically-conductive material, the second electrically-conductive layer being disposed over the light emissive layer; an insulating layer disposed over the second electrically-conductive layer. The first paper layer and the insulating layer encapsulate the first electrically-conductive layer, the dielectric layer, the light emissive layer, and the second electrically-conductive layer.
Cutter fastening assembly and cutter holder for the same
A cutter fastening assembly has a tool block, a fastening bolt, a fastening unit, a collet, and a cutter holder. The fastening bolt, the fastening unit, and the collet are mounted inside the tool block. The cutter holder has an assembling seat and a threaded hole. The assembling seat is integrally formed on the cutter holder and has a flange portion. The threaded hole is axially defined inside the flange portion and is screwed with the fastening bolt to keep the cutter holder connecting with the tool block.
Machine tool and cutting method
A machine tool cuts a workpiece having an inclined or curved surface and includes a main spindle that holds and rotates the workpiece, a moving device that moves a cutting tool relative to the workpiece in a direction obtained by combining a Z direction parallel or substantially parallel with the axis of the main spindle, an X direction that is perpendicular or substantially perpendicular to the Z direction and determines the amount of cutting of the workpiece, and a Y direction perpendicular or substantially perpendicular to the Z direction and the X direction, and an angle setting mechanism that causes the direction of an edge of the cutting tool to match the inclined surface of the workpiece by inclining the direction of the edge with respect to the Z direction when seen from the Y direction in a state in which the direction of the edge is inclined with respect to the Z direction when seen from the X direction.
Toolholder assembly
A toolholder assembly includes a toolholder having a toolholder shank with a non-circular cross-section, a base member having a bore with a non-circular cross-section that receives the toolholder shank, a canister positioned in the base member, a lock rod positioned in the canister, a locking ball for cooperating with the lock rod, the canister and/or the toolholder shank and an actuating element configured for cooperation with the lock rod for moving the lock rod between a locked position and an unlocked position.
Tool holder having improved internal coolant delivery
A tool holder for carrying a cutting insert wherein the cutting insert is useful for the removal of material during a material removal operation. The tool holder includes a tool holder body. The tool holder body includes a pocket adapted to carry the cutting insert, a coolant inlet in communication with a pressurized source of coolant, a coolant chamber having a central region, an upstream coolant passage having a central longitudinal upstream coolant passage axis, and a downstream coolant passage having a central longitudinal downstream coolant passage axis. The upstream coolant passage opens into the coolant chamber. The upstream coolant passage has an orientation relative to the coolant chamber so that the central longitudinal upstream coolant passage axis is offset from the central region of the coolant chamber whereby coolant flows into the coolant chamber in a tangential fashion.
Balancing mechanism of machine tool turret
A balancing mechanism of a machine tool turret includes an accommodation housing and a balancing device. The accommodation housing includes a slide rail located at a side of the accommodation housing, a groove located at an opposing side thereof and connected with the machine tool, a driving screw located in the slide rail along a specific axis, a driving motor located top of the accommodation housing and connected with the driving screw, and a block base located in the slide rail and connected with one end of the driving screw. The balancing device is located aside to the accommodation housing with one end fixedly connected with a top side of the accommodation housing and another end extended along the specific axis perpendicular to an axis of a work piece. In a finite installation space, the balancing mechanism has the way in embedding the accommodation housing without increasing the extra volume.
