Quick locking and releasing attachment retainer
An attachment retainer having a collar that, when at a collar locked position, has a first surface that is positioned above an open end of a passageway of a spindle to assist in retaining locking members in locking engagement with a driven tool. When in a collar release position, a second surface of the collar is positioned above the open end of the passageway to provide a space to receive a portion of the locking members so that the locking members can be disengaged from the driven tool. A plunger is displaceable to a position beneath another opening of the passageway to assist in retaining locking members in the passageway. A cam surface of a release ring can engage, and facilitate linear displacement of, release members as the release ring is rotated, which can facilitate axial displacement of the collar from the collar locked position to the collar release position.
Mine drill system with adapter
A system for securing different first and second drill tools to a drill head including a socket is provided. The system includes a chuck adapted for positioning at least partially within the socket of the drill head, the chuck including a first opening for receiving the first drill tool. An adapter is configured for forming a selective locking engagement within the first opening of the chuck, the adapter including a second opening for receiving the second drill tool. The selective locking engagement may comprise a twist lock engagement, and the adapter may be arranged for receiving a roof bolt. Related methods are also disclosed.
Mandrel assembly for electric tool and electric tool having same
A mandrel assembly includes a mandrel, adapter, and bit coupler. The mandrel includes a shank part axially disposed in the mandrel, an adapter receiver, and a coupler receiver. An internal hole runs axially through the adapter. The coupler includes first and second axial sections, and an axial bit connection hole with a polygonal section proximate to an inner side, and a cylindrical section proximate to an opening. An outer wall of the adapter fits with an inner wall of the adapter receiver. An outer wall of the first section fits with an inner wall of the coupler receiver. An outer wall of the second coupler fits with the internal hole of the adapter. The mandrel transmits torque, via the adapter receiver and coupler receiver, to the adapter and then to a hole saw coupled to the adapter, and to the coupler and then to a bit coupled to the coupler.
High-speed, low runout spindle assembly
A high-speed low runout spindle assembly is provided. The spindle assembly includes a friction drive wheel configured to be coupled to an output shaft of a motor. The friction drive wheel is configured and disposed to directly contact a shank of a bit. A set of bearings is configured to contact the shank of the bit. A bit clamp assembly includes a clamp bearing having a central through-hole dimensioned to accept a lower portion of the shank of the bit. The bit clamp assembly is configured to hold the bit in contact with the set of bearings.

A tool bit connectable to a tool. The tool bit including a tool body having a working end portion, an insertion end portion, and an outer surface formed on the insertion end portion. The insertion end portion defines an end of the tool body and configured to be coupled to the tool. The tool bit also includes a non-circular profile formed on the tool body and partially defining the outer surface, and an alignment region positioned between the non-circular profile and the end of the tool body. The alignment region partially defines the outer surface to facilitate alignment of the non-circular profile with the tool.

CUTTING DEVICE HAVING A PIN ENGAGING RAMP
A cutting device in accordance with some example embodiments is provided for use with an arbor assembly. The cutting device includes a blade having a plurality of teeth, and a back plate at a proximal end of the blade. The back plate has an outer end surface in which a plurality of ramp surfaces and pin locking recess are provided. A central through hole extending through the back plate. The ramp surfaces only allow the cutting device to be rotated relative to the arbor assembly in one direction.
HEAD REPLACEABLE CUTTING TOOL AND FASTENING PROJECTION PORTION THEREOF
A head replaceable cutting tool having a structure that can limit a machining cost when a clearance portion is formed in a portion at which a head is attached and detached, and also limit deformation of a shank is provided. The head replaceable cutting tool includes: a projection portion or a hole portion for attachment and detachment disposed in a head; a shank to which the head is attachable; a hole portion, to which the projection portion is removably attachable along a central axis, or a projection portion disposed in an end portion of the shank; a fastening member that presses the projection portion toward an inner circumference surface of the hole portion; and a fastened portion disposed in the shank to fasten the fastening member. The hole portion has a transverse cross-sectional shape that is a substantially circular shape having a curvature radius R1, and the projection portion has a transverse cross-sectional shape including a contact portion at which an outer circumference surface of the projection portion is in contact with the inner circumference surface of the hole portion and a clearance portion that is formed in a part of the outer circumference surface so as to deviate radially inward from a virtual circle corresponding to the inner circumference surface and does not come into contact with the inner circumference surface.
TOOL CONNECTING ROD
A tool connecting rod is provided, including: a rod, a first sleeve member, a second sleeve member, an elastic member, a first magnetic member and a restriction mechanism. The rod has an insertion groove. The first sleeve member is tubular and slidably sleeved to the rod, and the first sleeve member includes an assembling end portion. The second sleeve member is slidably sleeved to the first sleeve member. The elastic member is disposed on one of the first sleeve member and the second sleeve member and radially abutted against the other one of the first sleeve member and the second sleeve member. The elastic member is located between an outer circumferential surface of the first sleeve member and an inner circumferential surface of the second sleeve member. The first magnetic member is disposed on the assembling end portion.

A stair form member attached jaw is installed with the stair form member provided at the bottom face of the soft jaw. The stair form member is held between a pair of grips in the jaw installing groove of the master jaw from both sides of the radial direction, thereby pulling the stair form member to the bottom direction of the jaw installing groove. The position of the radial direction of the soft jaw is determined by the engagement between the bottom face of the soft jaw and the upper serration faces of the master jaw; and the position of the soft jaw in the tangent line is determined by the close contact of the stair form member to the side face of the jaw installing groove.
