The coupling hub or the cutting head hub have elevated areas, with contact surfaces, distributed in circumferential and longitudinal directions of the coupling hub or the cutting head hub. The contact surfaces make contact on support surfaces on the drive mount or on the cutting head holder on the retaining shank. The drive mount or the cutting head holder is permanently connected to the coupling hub or the cutting head hub by a joining material in intermediate spaces between the elevations.
Prismatic and cylindrical cutting inserts
A prismatic and cylindrical cutting insert for long edge rotary milling applications has multiple indexable cutting edges ranging from four to six or even more depending on the actual milling applications. Each cutting edge of a prismatic or cylindrical cutting insert provides a positive cutting geometry and is equivalent to an indexable cutting edge of a traditional single-sided parallelogram-shaped cutting insert having two indexable cutting edges (often referred as A-Style insert). The prismatic and cylindrical (including tapered or conical) cutting insert may be used for machining a wide range of materials including difficult-to-machine materials, cast-iron and alloys, aluminum and alloys, carbon steels, and fiber reinforced composites.
Blade positioning structure of disposable milling cutter
A blade positioning structure of a disposable milling cutter includes a cutter body and a disposable blade. The cutter body is peripherally provided with a blade seat. By passing a screw through the disposable blade and the blade seat, the disposable blade is locked to the blade seat. The blade seat has a blade seat surface and a sidewall; the blade seat surface has a groove; the disposable blade has a bottom surface provided with a projection corresponding in shape to the groove; and when the disposable blade is locked to the blade seat, the blade seat surface and the groove of the latter lie respectively and tightly against the bottom surface and the projection of the former.
Hollow gear hob
A hob for a cutting apparatus including a hollow body of a sintered hard metal composition and a cavity located within the body, the cavity having a volume in the range of about 10% to about 90% of the volume of the body.
ABUTMENT TOOL SET AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING TOOTH REPLACEMENTS
Device for producing tooth replacements, which device has a milling cutter (36) for shaping the front face of the tube portion (16), which milling cutter (36) has at least one abutment face which is intended to bear at least indirectly on a surface of the abutment (10), in particular on the collar (14) of the abutment, and via which milling cutter (36) the length or height of the tube portion (16) of the abutment (10) can be fixed, in particular the tube portion can be shaped. Tool set consisting of a milling cutter (36) and of a sleeve (42), wherein at least one abutment face (76) is formed on the milling cutter and extends towards the sleeve (42), and wherein the sleeve (42) has a supporting face (78), in particular for supporting on an abutment (10).
Components of an electronic device and methods for their assembly
Various components of an electronic device housing and methods for their assembly are disclosed. The housing can be formed by assembling and connecting two or more different sections together. The sections of the housing may be coupled together using one or more coupling members. The coupling members may be formed using a two-shot molding process in which the first shot forms a structural portion of the coupling members, and the second shot forms cosmetic portions of the coupling members.

Rotary cutting tool with increased stiffness and method of assembling same
A rotary cutting tool includes a cutter body having a head, a shank, and a cavity extending along a central, longitudinal axis of the cutter body. The head includes at least one cutting insert mounted in a pocket adjacent to a chip groove. A stiffening device includes a plurality of slugs with high compressive strength disposed within the cavity, and a first compression screw threaded into a rearward end of the cutting tool. In another embodiment, a second compression screw is threaded into a forward end of the cutter body. In another embodiment, each slug includes a coolant hole, circumferential grooves and axial grooves on its outer diameter, and a plurality of radial grooves on each end, and the first compression screw has a coolant hole for allowing coolant to pass therethrough.
Side Milling Cutter and Production Method
The invention relates to a side milling cutter (1) which comprises a disk body (11) with a central hub (12) for accommodation in a milling drive, and a plurality of cutters (21) which are arranged on the outer periphery thereof. A plurality of inner cooling lubricant channels (3) extend in the disk body (11), said channels having two or more outlet openings (31) in the area of each cutter (21). Said outlet openings (31) are oriented such that a cooling lubricant jet (K) which exits from the cooling lubricant channel (3) can be directed to the cutter (21). The invention also relates to a production method for the side milling cutter (1).
ROTARY CUTTER FOR MACHINING MATERIALS
Novel endmills are provided. Such endmills have a body with outside diameter (OD), and outer surface, and a longitudinal axis, a plurality of flutes, helical in some embodiments. Flutes include a narrow leading edge land portion with circular segment profile and having flute cutting edge portions along a substantially uniform circumferential location, with an eccentric relief margin rotationally rearward of the narrow leading edge land portions. Face portions are provided with face cutting edge portions, and with a first dish portion adjacent each of the cutting edge portions sloping inwardly and downwardly generally toward a central longitudinal axis at a first dish angle alpha (α). Corner blend portions extend from flute cutting edge portions to the face cutting edge portions. Corner blend portions are provided in a variety of profiles, including an embodiment wherein the profile of the corner blend portions are truncated before the segment of curvature becomes tangential to the face cutting edge portions. In various embodiments, one or more coolant passageways are provided, and in an embodiment, an exit port for coolant is provided at the center of rotation of the end face portion.
