A mechanically or hydraulically driven movable piston rod (12) performs spreading and/or cutting. A display, which is provided on the housing (2). An electronic open- and closed-loop control device provides open- and/or closed-loop control of the electric motor (3) and/or of the display. The rescue device (1) has a communication interface (20) for video data (VD), the video data (VD) being user guidance data, and the display being a video-enabled display (8).
