Portable Plasma Tube Cutting Apparatus for Coping and Cutting
A portable plasma cutting apparatus for coping and cutting pre-bend tubular members includes a control unit, a control arm, a first step motor, a second step motor, a linear drive mechanism, a rotary drive mechanism, a plasma cutter, a tube placement deck, and a platform. The control arm is operatively coupled with the first step motor by the rotary drive mechanism to rotationally drive the control arm around a rotational axis. The control arm is operatively coupled with the second step motor by the linear drive mechanism to linearly drive the control arm along the rotational axis. A torch of the plasma cutter is terminally mounted to the control arm and positioned in between the control unit and the tube placement deck as the control arm rotationally and linearly moves about the control unit. The platform provides the sufficient height for the portable plasma cutting apparatus.
Machine for machining a moving object
A machine for cutting a moving object comprises a conveyor belt for carrying the object along an advancement direction at a line speed and comprises a driving and cutting unit configured to move in a cutting cycle according to a forward phase in order to perform the cutting of the moving object, and configured to move according to a return phase in order to return into the initial position of the cutting cycle. The cutting machine further comprises a processing unit configured to generate a driving signal for controlling the movement of the driving and cutting unit with an acceleration trend wherein the maximum absolute value of the acceleration within the return phase is smaller than the maximum absolute value of the acceleration within the forward phase.
Production method and production facility of metal pipe
A method of producing a metal pipe which can suppress quenching defects is provided. In the method, a bend of the metal pipe is straightened by a straightening machine 10. Next, both pipe end portions of the metal pipe whose bend has been straightened are cut off by a pipe cutting apparatus 20. Next, a plurality of the metal pipes whose both pipe end portions have been cut off are aligned in the axial direction thereof to be conveyed to a quenching apparatus 30, and the metal pipes are quenched by being cooled after being heated by induction heating.

RETRIEVAL OF TUBULAR STRINGS FROM SUBTERRANEAN WELLS
A tubular shear assembly for use with a subterranean well can include a tubular shear device configured to shear a tubular string that extends into the well. The tubular shear device can include a body, a fixed shear jaw, and a rotary shear jaw configured to rotate relative to the body and the fixed shear jaw to shear the tubular string. A method of retrieving a tubular string from a subterranean well can include displacing a tubular shear device, including positioning the tubular string between a fixed shear jaw of the tubular shear device and a rotary shear jaw of the tubular shear device, and rotating the rotary shear jaw relative to the fixed shear jaw, thereby shearing the tubular string.

Can-making apparatus with trimmer chute
A trimmer assembly for removing portions of sidewalls of cans is provided. The trimmer assembly includes a chute configured to receive the removed portions of sidewalls of cans. The chute includes an angled extending wall configured to prevent removed portions of sidewalls of cans from travelling past the chute without entering the chute without interfering with motion of the cans.

CUTTING TOOL
An underwater tool including a grabber arrangement and a cutter arrangement connected together. The grabber arrangement comprises a plurality of grabber elements disposed on first and second sides of the tool. The cutter arrangement includes a cutter slot, an anvil movable to close the slot comprises an anvil and a cutter blade. In use, a cable is held by the grabber arrangement, and thereby moved into the slot which is then closed by the anvil so as to entrap the cable within the slot. The cutter blade is then driven against the anvil so as to cut the cable.
