Shear blade for a cutting tool

A shear blade (2) is for a portable hydraulic cutting device, such as a rescue device having a blade body (9). The blade body (9) has an assembly region (18) and a cutting region (15), a cutting edge (16) in the cutting region (15), a contact surface (13), located on one side of the cutting edge (16), for an additional shear blade. An outer surface (14), located on the other side of the cutting edge (16), is provided to act on the object to be cut. The cutting region (15) has a recess (22) for receiving a cutting insert (21). The recess (22) is configured such that the cutting insert (21) is insertable into the recess (22) at an acute angle δ to the contact surface (13) of the shear blade (2).

Tool head

A tool head includes a first frame having a first arm and a second arm extending from a base to a distal end. The tool head may also include a first blade in the frame between the first arm and the second arm. The first blade is movable from the base toward the distal end. The tool head further includes a second frame hingedly coupled to the first arm. The second frame may include a second blade. The second frame is configured to rotate between a closed-frame position and an open-frame position. The tool head further includes a trip lever hingedly coupled to the first arm and configured to rotate between an open-lever position and a closed-lever position. The trip lever is in the open-lever position when the second frame is in the closed-frame position and the trip lever is in the closed-lever position when the second frame is in the open-frame position.

Tool head

A tool head includes a first frame having a first arm and a second arm extending from a base to a distal end. The tool head may also include a first blade in the frame between the first arm and the second arm. The first blade is movable from the base toward the distal end. The tool head further includes a second frame hingedly coupled to the first arm. The second frame may include a second blade. The second frame is configured to rotate between a closed-frame position and an open-frame position. The tool head further includes a trip lever hingedly coupled to the first arm and configured to rotate between an open-lever position and a closed-lever position. The trip lever is in the open-lever position when the second frame is in the closed-frame position and the trip lever is in the closed-lever position when the second frame is in the open-frame position.

A shearing apparatus includes a housing, dies within the housing, a force transmitting apparatus; and a die engaging mechanism between the force transmitting apparatus and the movable die. The dies are movable relative to each other and have cutouts which cut a workpiece. The die engaging mechanism is releasable to decouple the force transmitting apparatus from the movable die.

SHEAR CUTTING TOOL

A shear cutting tool includes a housing, a hydraulic drive assembly at least partially supported in the housing, and a head assembly coupled to the housing. The housing has a first end, second end, base portion, and a handle extends from the housing. The handle supports a trigger. The hydraulic drive assembly is activated by the trigger and is configured to move a movable die relative to a stationary die. The head assembly is coupled to the second end of the housing and includes a clevis that supports the movable and stationary dies, a plurality of extensions, and a stop plate with a lower face. The extensions are coupled to the clevis and the stop plate is coupled to the extensions. The clevis has a support portion that, together with the lower face and the base portion, define a support plane.

POWER TOOL HYDRAULIC SYSTEM

The present disclosure provides a power tool including a housing and a hydraulic drive assembly at least partially supported in the housing. The housing includes a handle that supports a switch that activates the tool. The hydraulic drive assembly includes a pump assembly operably coupled to the motor assembly, a reservoir configured to contain hydraulic fluid in fluid communication with the pump assembly and in which a baffle is supported, a cylinder in fluid communication with the pump assembly which supports an auto-return valve therein, and a piston disposed in the cylinder and biased to a first position by a piston spring. The pump assembly includes a manifold housing that at least partially defines an inlet passageway that fluidly communicates the pump assembly and the cylinder and supports an inlet check valve.

A pyrotechnic circuit breaker includes a body, a piston slidably mounted in the body along a first direction, the piston having a first protrusion including a cutting edge, a pyrotechnic igniter, and a bus bar. The piston is adapted to move from a raised position to a lowered position to cut the bus bar into two distinct portions upon activation of the pyrotechnic igniter. The piston further includes a second protrusion extending from the lower face over a greater distance than the first protrusion. The bus bar includes an aperture aligned along the first direction with the second protrusion, the second protrusion and the aperture being adapted to cooperate such that the second protrusion is engaged in the aperture when the piston moves from the first position to the second position.

The present invention relates to a tool for forming a joint in an interlocking side-lapped seam formed between first and second structural decking panels. The decking tool may include a frame, actuator, and arms with jaws, wherein the actuator forms a structural component of the decking tool and is located between the frame and the arms with the jaws. Moreover, the decking tool may further comprise one or more shields and jaw guards. The one or more shields may cover the arms on at least one side for protection. The one or more jaw guards may be utilized with or without the shields, and may or may not be integral with the shields. The one or more jaw guards have a number of benefits, such as protecting the jaws, positioning the jaws, being utilized as levers to help remove the jaws, and being utilized to prevent separation of the side-lap seam.
