Shearing die and press-forming method

A shearing die for preventing damage of a die tool in shearing of a super-high-tension steel sheet and a press-forming method using the same. The shearing die for shearing a metal sheet in a direction intersecting a first-sheared edge of the metal sheet in press-working including a plurality of shearing processes to produce a formed article from the metal sheet by press-forming, in which the shearing die comprises a fitting part that can detach a shearing blade in the vicinity of a region coming in contact with an end of the first-sheared edge.

Reversible cutting tool

The present disclosure provides a reversible cutting tool to cut a material such as sheet metal on a press brake. The reversible cutting tool is further comprised of a handle portion to grip and move the cutting tool, wheels to allow the cutting tool to slide along the press brake, a blade portion to cut the material, and an adjustable cutting mechanism. The adjustable cutting mechanism allows the reversible cutting tool to pivot and cut the material in two different directions, and also allows the cutting tool to be set in a third storage position. In a preferred embodiment, the adjustable cutting mechanism is comprised of a channel on an underside of the cutting portion, the channel configured to receive a plunger, the plunger to slide between two opposed cutting positions and a storage position.

Cutting method and cut article

There is provided a cutting method for cutting a workpiece using a cutting tool comprising a die and a punch, including: arranging the workpiece between the die and the punch, and in a state in which a wedge-shaped first cutting part of the die and a wedge-shaped second cutting part of the punch are opposed, pushing the punch relatively to the die side to cut the workpiece; wherein: a front end angle .sub.1 of the first cutting part and a front end angle .sub.2 of the second cutting part are each 10 or more and 120 or less, and a front end radius R.sub.1 of the first cutting part and a front end radius R.sub.2 of the second cutting part are each 0.5% or more and 35.0% or less of a sheet thickness.

Pliers-type cutting tool

A pliers-type cutting tool has two tool legs which cross at a joint pin and are pivotable about an axis of rotation in a pivot plane with respect to one another. The tool legs form gripping portions on one side of the joint pin and a pliers mouth on the other side. Cutting of the pliers mouth pass into a position one over the other, at least radially on the outside, for the first time in a closing region. The cutting edges have in the position one over the other only in the closing region a particular free length on this central plane, and that over the free length a greatest opening width is present along an intermediate length on the central plane, and that the greatest opening width makes up a third or more of the total length of the cutting edges.

A tip assembly for a jaw of a jaw set for demolition and construction equipment has a base with a top side, an underside, and a protrusion extending along a longitudinal axis and extending from the underside. The tip also has a first insert mounted to the base and a second insert mounted to the base. Each insert has a first wall and an opposing second wall with a front side extending therebetween. Each insert also has a locking recess that conforms to the protrusion to limit movement of the insert in directions perpendicular to the longitudinal axis.

A multiple tool attachment system is adapted to be attached to demolition equipment. The system includes a universal body attached to the demolition equipment. A series of tools are independently attachable to the universal body. Each tool generally includes a bridge housing with a pair of jaws that are pivotable relative to one another and adapted to be attached to the receiving member of a universal body. The multiple tool attachment system is provided with quick change features designed to optimize strength and ease of removing and installing the bridge housing.

Shear Jaw Blades with Protective Liner System

A jaw of a jaw set used for construction or demolition applications has liners positioned between the blade pockets of the jaw set body and the blades of the jaw set to protect the blade pockets of the jaw set body from contact with worn or deformed blades during operation so that the worn or deformed blades do not damage the blade pockets of the jaw bodies. Such damage is inherent with the common utilization of worn or deformed blades.

Indexable piercing tip for demolition shears

An indexable piercing tip mounts to a nose portion of one of the jaws of a heavy-duty demolition shears so as to enclose and protect top, bottom, front, and two opposing side surfaces of the nose portion during use of the shears. The piercing tip has a first operative position in which a first set of piercing and shearing edges of the piercing tip are presented for use. When the first set gets dull or worn, the piercing tip can be rotated/indexed 180 degrees so as to present a second set of piercing and shearing edges of the piercing tip for use.

Shearing method, shearing device, and shearing facility

A shearing method of a plate-shaped workpiece for applying a shear force in a thickness direction of the plate-shaped workpiece includes: a step for starting applying the shear force on the workpiece with a clearance between action points in a surface direction orthogonal to the thickness direction of the workpiece; a step for applying the shear force after the start of applying the shear force until a fractured surface is created in the workpiece; and a step for increasing the clearance depending on a deformation of the workpiece in the thickness direction after starting applying the shear force until the fractured surface is created in the workpiece.
