Metal stud cutting blade and related machines and methods

A blade is configured for use in cutting metal studs, the blade including a cutting edge, the cutting edge configured to engage a metal stud such that the metal stud and debris from a cut of the metal stud are pushed in different directions. Cutting machines including the blade are also disclosed, as methods of cutting metal studs using the blade.

A piercing tip for a demolition shear, the piercing tip including a blade-side sidewall and a guide-side sidewall, a front wall, and a bottom wall. An intersection of a front outer wear surface of the front wall and a bottom wear surface of the bottom wall defines a front piercing edge. An intersection of a planar outer wear surface of the blade-side sidewall and the bottom wear surface of the bottom wall defines a shearing edge. A blade set may include the piercing tip and at least one shear blade. The piercing tip and at least one shear blade may be mounted to the blade-side of an upper jaw of the demolition shear.

A pipe cutting device includes first and second C-shaped half-bodies, a cutter disposed between the first and second C-shaped half-bodies, two wheels, an automatic cutter feeding mechanism, and arc-shaped plate adjustment screws. The automatic cutter feeding mechanism moves the cutter to perform an automatic feeding operation and is in cooperation with the two wheels to cut a pipe. The first and second C-shaped half-bodies include a first screw hole and a second screw hole respectively, the arc-shaped plate adjustment screws are locked into the first screw hole and the second screw hole respectively, to adjust a moving path, toward a location between the two wheels, of the cutter pushed by the automatic cutter feeding mechanism. Therefore, the pipe cutting device can adjust the moving path of the cutter, fine tuning to cut the pipe, and adjusting a pressing force of the cutter.

A hydraulic power tool includes a housing defining a cylinder, a piston at least partially positioned within the cylinder and movable between a retracted position and an extended position, a clevis supporting a head of the power tool, a nut coupled to an outer peripheral surface of the clevis, and a collar coupled to the housing and surrounding the nut to axially constrain the nut between the collar and the housing while permitting relative rotation between the collar and the nut.

A shearing apparatus includes a housing, a die within the housing, and a workpiece seat plate attached to the housing by a standoff. The die has a cutout which is positionable to align with a passageway through the housing. The workpiece seat plate is spaced from the housing by the standoff, and has a cutout which at least partially aligns with the passageway in the housing and the cutout in the die.

MATERIAL CUTTING DEVICE

A cutting device with the capability of cutting hard materials, such as steels, stainless steels and other similar and exotic alloys. The cutting device includes a cutter head having a central aperture and a stationary body having a channel extending therethrough. The stationary body extends through the central aperture of the cutter head. The cutter head is rotatable between a first configuration and a second configuration relative to the stationary body. The cutting device also includes first and second substantially parallel blades fixed to the stationary body. In the first configuration, the first blade is a first distance from the second blade. In the second configuration, the first blade is a second distance from the second blade. The cutting assembly is connected to a drive mechanism with a driver and an actuator. The actuator connects the cutter head to the driver. Engagement of the driver rotates the actuator, which rotates the cutter head.

The second frame is configured to rotate between a closed-frame position and an open-frame position. The tool head further includes a trip lever hingedly coupled to the first arm and configured to rotate between an open-lever position and a closed-lever position. The trip lever is in the open-lever position when the second frame is in the closed-frame position and the trip lever is in the closed-lever position when the second frame is in the open-frame position.
