Method and apparatus for a scroll saw having a base along with an upright hollow frame with a work table attached to the lower frame used to support a workpiece to be cut. The scroll saw includes upper and lower pivotable arms driven by a motor with a saw blade between the pivotable arms. A rotatable member is included in the upright frame member for rotating an upper frame assembly in a horizontal plane. The front portion of the work table can be removed from the scroll saw to access the saw blade and the work table can be automatically leveled. Also the saw blade travels in a true vertical motion and it remains centered during operation to prevent it from creeping forward during operation.

A hole saw includes a base member configured to secure the hole saw to a drive device and a plurality of blade members extending orthogonally to the base member. The blade members are configured to cut into a structure to form a polygonal opening in the structure in response to rotational movement of the hole saw by the drive device. Each blade member is attached to the base member in a fixed position relative to the base member and has cutting teeth extending in a respective cutting direction. First and second blade members of the plurality are disposed parallel to each other and have I-shaped faces that face each other. Third and fourth blade members of the plurality are disposed parallel to each other and have I-shaped faces that face each other.

Apparatus comprising: a rotatable drive shaft (12): one or more members (16a-d) mounted for oscillators, pivoting motion: motion conversion means (17, 28a-d, 16a-d) for convening rotational motion of the drive shaft to the oscillatory, pivoting motion of the one or more members: means coupling the or each member and one or more saw blades (14a-f) so that the oscillatory motion of the one or more member causes oscillatory cutting action of the or each blade. There is also provided a saw blade, and a method of attaching a saw blade.

A power tool attachment saw according to the invention is provide and includes a body plate, a connector section and a plurality of cutting walls. The body plate is a planar body and the connector section positioned on one side of the planar body and adapted for attachment to an oscillating power tool. The plurality of cutting walls are positioned orthogonal to and extend from exterior edges of the planar body to form a material receiving space. The plurality of cutting walls provide a uniform cutting edge about the material receiving space.

A cutting assembly for cutting with at least two saw blades simultaneously, includes a motion conversion means comprises: a first part and a plurality of second parts, for example a first bevel gear (30) and a plurality of second bevel gears (32). The first part is arranged for rotation about a central axis thereof and coupled to a drive means (12) for causing the rotation. The first and second parts are arranged such that the rotation of the first part in a direction of rotation causes rotation in a corresponding direction of rotation of each second part about a respective axis extending away from the central axis of the first part. The cutting assembly also includes, for each second part, a coupling means for coupling the second part to a respective cutting blade (100a-f) and including a further motion conversion means, such that the rotation of the second part causes cutting motion of the cutting blade.

A saw system capable of cutting through a workpiece in one stroke is provided. The saw system includes a base, a turntable mounted on the base for rotation about a vertical axis, a support structure defining a cutting axis and fixedly attached to the turntable, and an elongated blade including a cutting edge. The turntable has a substantially planar support surface for supporting a workpiece. The support structure includes a pair of parallel sliding members, wherein the sliding members are disposed in a direction substantially parallel to the cutting axis. The elongated blade is spaced apart from the sliding members and is movable along the sliding members. The cutting edge includes a proximal end and a distal end, wherein an angle between an imaginary line connecting the distal end of the cutting edge to the proximal end thereof and its projection onto the turntable is an acute angle.

A saw system capable of cutting through a workpiece in one stroke is provided. The saw system includes a base, a turntable mounted on the base for rotation about a vertical axis, a support structure defining a cutting axis and fixedly attached to the turntable, and an elongated blade including a cutting edge. The turntable has a substantially planar support surface for supporting a workpiece. The support structure includes a pair of parallel sliding members having proximal and distal ends. The saw system further includes a handle assembly coupled with a bearing member, which is mechanically engaged with the sliding members, and an elongated blade fixedly attached to the bearing member. The elongated blade includes a serrated cutting edge that is acutely angled relative to the support surface.

A processing apparatus includes a table base to which a jig table is removably secured, a cutting unit, a moving assembly for moving the table base between a processing area and a mounting/dismounting area, and a delivery assembly for delivering the jig table from a temporary rest area onto the table base while applying a negative pressure to a second suction channel of the jig table. The delivery assembly includes a pair of grippers for gripping both sides of the jig table, a suction pipe connected to the second suction channel of the jig table that is gripped by the grippers, and a lifting and lowering unit for positioning the suction pipe selectively in an operative position where the suction pipe is connected to the second suction channel and a lifted position where the suction pipe is spaced from the second suction channel.

A cutting system is used for cutting a hollow cylindrical support beam which forms part of a support structure of a sea platform. The cutting system comprises a fixating device to fixate the cutting system in an operation position around an outer wall of the support beam, and a drilling device to drill a series of through holes in the outer wall and around the support beam. The drilling device is movable along a drill track and around the support beam by a drill driver.

A power tool attachment saw according to the invention is provide and includes a body plate, a connector section and a plurality of cutting walls.
