Rotary Cutter for Cutting Damaged Threads of a Bolt
A rotary cutter for cutting damaged threads of a bolt includes a body rotatable about a rotating axis and having a connecting end and an operative end. A first cutting blade is disposed on an inner periphery of the body facing a cutting space extending along the rotating axis from the operative end towards but spaced from the connecting end. The body further includes a virtual projection plane perpendicular to the rotating axis. A first virtual plane passes through the first cutting blade and extends perpendicularly to the virtual projection plane. A virtual circle and a first virtual reference line are located on the virtual projection plane. The first virtual reference line intersects the rotating axis and passes through an intersection of the first virtual plane and the virtual circle. An angle between the first virtual reference line and the first virtual plane is between 5 and 40.
Thread Repair Hand Tool
A thread repair hand tool for rapidly repairing damaged threads on a threaded rod, the tool including a shell member and a core member to move inside the shell member to separate or combine a pair of threaded semi-circular arc sections.
Dental implantoplasty tool for preventing peri-implantis in dental implants
A dental tool for resurfacing thread forms of a dental implant is disclosed. The tool includes a main body having a cylindrical member with a slot. A blade having a head is inserted in the slot to orient the head to protrude from the interior surface of the cylindrical member of the main body. The main body may be rotated into traversing a thread form of the implant. A compression sleeve is inserted over the main body. The compression sleeve has an open position and a closed position to hold the blade in the slot.
Thread repair tools and methods of making and using the same
Thread repair tools having (i) a disc-shaped member with an axis of rotation extending through and dissecting first and second major surfaces of the disc-shaped member, (ii) a shaft fixedly connected to or fixedly connectable to the disc-shaped member, with the shaft extending from the second major surface of the disc-shaped member along the axis of rotation; and (iii) an abrasive surface along an outer periphery of the disc-shaped member are disclosed. Methods of making the thread repair tools, and methods of using the thread repair tools are also disclosed. Methods of using the thread repair tools include a method of: (i) connecting the thread repair tool to a hand-held powered device capable of rotating the thread repair tool along the axis of rotation of the thread repair tool, and (ii) abrading an object with the disc-shaped member of the thread repair tool as the thread repair tool is rotated along the axis of rotation by the hand-held powered device.

Power saw miter cutting guide
A cutting guide includes a first guide structure having a base, a first saw support, and a second saw support. The first saw support is attached to the base and defines a first saw contact surface. The second saw support is attached to the base and defines a second saw contact surface that is spaced apart from the first saw contact surface so as to define an elongated cutting slot therebetween. The elongate cutting slot defines (i) a first slot portion, (ii) a second slot portion that is contiguous with the first slot portion, and (iii) a third slot portion that is contiguous with the second slot portion. The second slot portion is interposed between the first slot portion and the third slot portion.
Method of machining screw
A method of machining a screw is provided that is capable of preventing formation of a protruding section at a thread tip section. A thread is formed by cutting on a cylindrical body, and a surface of the thread is plastically deformed by rolling. Because of the cutting, a width between-side surfaces of a thread tip section is in a narrowed state as compared to a normal width. This width is narrowed toward a tip of the thread while a thread body section has a width expanded as compared to a normal width. Consequently, the side surfaces are formed to bulge by an excess thickness portion as compared to normal side surfaces. The rolling plastically deforms both side surfaces to cause the excess thickness portion to plastically flow toward the side surfaces.
INTERNAL THREAD CHASE
Disclosed is a thread chase or tap capable of being inserted past damaged threads of a female threaded coupling and then rotated back to repair the damaged threads. The thread chase can be selectively expanded to engage chase blocks having cutting teeth against threads. Thereafter, a user can rotate the thread chase in a direction sufficient to cause the thread chase to move axially out of the female threaded coupling. Upon doing so, the chase blocks can be pushed outwardly and engage undamaged threads, and rotated so as to move upward and repair damaged threads.
Fastener Compatible with Helical Toothed Driver
A driver for applying torque to threaded fasteners has a plurality of teeth extending along and projecting outwardly from a longitudinal axis of a body on which the teeth are located. The teeth have a helical twist about the longitudinal axis. Each tooth has an angularly oriented engagement surface which is engageable with similarly angularly oriented surfaces within recesses in the head of a compatible fastener. When the driver engages the recesses torque applied to the driver draws the driver deeper into the recesses as the engagement surfaces react against and slide over the angularly oriented surfaces within the recesses. The torque also causes the fastener to turn and advance or retract depending upon the sense of the torque and the angles of the engagement surfaces and the angles of the surfaces within the recesses. The fastener and its method of manufacture are also disclosed.
Method for Repairing Damaged Bolt
A method for repairing a damaged bolt located on a baseplate in a bolted joint, the damaged bolt having a nut threaded thereon, and the damaged bolt having a deformed portion and a residual portion, wherein the residual portion is at least partially within the nut, the method comprising: removing the deformed portion of the bolt; removing the nut from the residual portion of the bolt; inspecting the residual portion of the bolt; installing a coupling over the residual portion of the bolt; installing an anchor bolt into the coupling; installing a bolt stool over the coupling, the anchor bolt, and the residual portion of the bolt; installing a securing nut onto the anchor bolt to secure the bolt stool in place; and tensioning the anchor bolt with a tensioner to a predetermined tension.
