Electric discharge machine
A machining liquid is supplied to a predetermined level when a workpiece is on a table. A volume of the workpiece is obtained from a difference between the machining liquid amount at the predetermined level when a previous workpiece is not on the table, and the machining liquid amount when the workpiece is on the table. A weight of the workpiece is obtained from the obtained volume and a previously stored density of the workpiece. A weight of a mounting jig is obtained in the same procedure. A total volume of the jig and workpiece is obtained when the jig is on the table and the workpiece is fixed to the jig. The volume of the workpiece is obtained by a difference with respect to the volume of the jig. The weight of the workpiece fixed to the jig is obtained from the obtained volume and the previously stored density.

ELECTRICAL MACHINING DEVICE AND METHOD, HYBRID MACHINING SYSTEM AND METHOD
An electrical machining method comprises machining a workpiece by an electrical machining device comprising an electrode; increasing a feedrate of the electrode at a first acceleration if a discharge current passing through the electrode and the workpiece is lower than a discharge current reference; and decreasing the feedrate of the electrode at a second acceleration if the discharge current is higher than the discharge current reference, wherein the second acceleration has an absolute value higher than that of the first acceleration.
ELECTROCHEMICAL MACHINING APPARATUS WITH CLAMPING DEVICE AND ELECTRODE ALIGNED IN THE SAME DIRECTION
An electrochemical machining apparatus with a clamping device and an electrode aligned in the same direction includes a platen, a lower seat, an anode electrode and a cathode electrode. The platen and the lower seat are located relatively for clamping. A working space is formed between the platen and the lower seat for allowing a workpiece to be placed therein. The anode electrode is disposed on the platen and is electrically connected to the workpiece. The cathode electrode is disposed inside the lower seat and is corresponding to the working space. An isolation layer is disposed between the cathode electrode and the lower seat to avoid an electrical connection. A working gap with a constant distance is preserved between the cathode electrode and the workpiece for allowing an electrolyte to flow therethrough and performing electrochemical machining.
