Systems and methods for cutting a plow bolt hole with a cutting torch
A method for cutting a plow bolt hole in a work piece using a cutting torch includes receiving a computerized part file including elements representing holes to be cut in the work piece. An element is selected and assigned a plow bolt hole identity. The selected element is associated with an aspect of an inner shape and an aspect of an outer shape of the plow bolt hole. A tool path is developed for the cutting torch that accounts for the aspect of the inner shape and the aspect of the outer shape and is associated with the selected element. Instructions are output to a computer numerical control (CNC) machine to move the cutting torch along the tool path so as to cut both the inner shape and the outer shape of the plow bolt hole in the work piece consecutively without interrupting a flame of the torch.
System and Method for Separating a Tubular Component
A system and a method for separating a tubular component is disclosed, which for constructing a supporting structure, having a longitudinal pipe with pipe ends which are open on both sides. The system has a mobile transport module comprising a receiving platform having a pipe clamping device for clamping variable pipe diameters which receives and mounts the tubular component so that a first pipe end of the component, having a vertical longitudinal axis which detachably and securely engages the pipe clamping device. The invention further relates to a separating arrangement mounted on a supporting structure that it is deflectable at least vertically, to provide secure joining to the pipe end of a tubular component that faces away from the first pipe end. The tubular component is seated on the transport module and vertically securely engages the pipe clamping device.
Safety device for mounting in the gas supply installation of a cutting torch of a flame-cutting machine
The relevant regulations in the field of automated flame-cutting technology stipulate various safety devices for the process-gas supply of a cutting torch. The invention relates to the simplified installation and maintenance of the safety devices and to a compact structure thereof. Proposed is a multi-functional safety module, in the module body of which there are integrated a first and a second safety element to prevent flame- or gas-blowout, and in which there is provided a mechanical plug-type connection for establishing a gas-tight connection between the safety elements and the corresponding gas lines of the cutting torch.

Circle cutting system
An attachment to fit to a nozzle portion of an oxy-fuel torch that enables an operator to precisely cut a circle in a metal without having to move during operation is disclosed. The attachment includes a nut threadably attached to the nozzle portion that in turn holds a brass bushing that is concentrically and coaxially arranged inside a bearing within a bearing retainer. Further, a torch radius adjustment arm retainer is slidably locked to the bearing retainer via a dovetail joint and is configured to slidably receive a long arm of an L-shaped radius adjustment, further secured by a first thumb screw. The operator cuts the circle having a radius equal to distance between the nozzle portion and a replaceable radius pivot point threadably attached at end of a short arm of the radius adjustment arm by pivoting on said pivot point and rotating the torch in the circle.
Cutting nozzle for a postmixed oxy-fuel gas torch
A cutting nozzle for a gas torch, such as a postmixed oxy-fuel gas torch, comprising a body with a torch end adapted to engage the gas torch, a discharge end, and a peripheral surface between the torch end and the discharge end. The body has a plurality of bores for respectively conducting fuel gas, preheat oxygen and cutting oxygen through the nozzle, each of the plurality of bores extending from the torch end and terminating in a respective discharge orifice at the discharge end of the body. A set of the plurality of bores are preheat oxygen bores connected to an oxygen source at the torch end for discharging the preheat oxygen at the discharge end. A plurality of air bores each have an inlet orifice located on the peripheral surface of the body and open to an air source, and a discharge orifice in or proximal to the discharge end.
System and method for processing a workpiece
A system (40) is provided for processing a workpiece (44). The system (40) includes a support surface (48) for supporting the workpiece (44) and defining a processing path (P) along which the workpiece (44) may travel relative to the system (40). The system (40) includes at least one tool (64a, 64b, 64c) for performing a process on the workpiece (44) that is movable in a work zone (WZ) along a predetermined length (L) of the workpiece (44) in a direction along the processing path (P). The system (40) includes a movable clamp assembly (80) having opposing clamping pads (84, 88) movable into and out of the work zone (WZ) along the processing path (P) to clamp a portion of the workpiece (44) located in the work zone (WZ) prior to the at least one tool (64a, 64b, 64c) performing a process on the workpiece (44).
Torch cutting machine
A torch cutting machine comprising a longitudinal travel way, a main carriage that travels along the travel way, and a boom assembly extending from the main carriage perpendicular to the travel way, the boom assembly comprising at least one cutting torch extending from a main boom. The boom assembly is rotatable with respect to the main carriage. Also, a method of cutting metal material where a boom of a torch cutting machine having a cutting torch extending therefrom, is placed over metal material in a first cutting bed, which is cut by moving the cutting torch. The boom is rotated 180 and positioned over material in a second cutting bed, which is cut in the same manner. Cut material is removed from the first cutting bed and new material is placed in the first cutting bed while the cutting of the material in the second cutting bed is being performed.
