The systems and methods may include a control unit configured to perform an analysis of at least one image of an aquatic plant culture. The analysis may include processing at least one collected image to determine at least one physical characteristic or state of an aquatic plant culture. Systems and methods for distributing aquatic plant cultures are also provided. The distribution systems and methods may track and control the distribution of an aquatic plant culture based on information received from various sources. Systems and methods for growing and harvesting aquatic plants in a controlled and compact environment are also provided. The systems may include a bioreactor having a plurality of vertically stacked modules designed to contain the aquatic plants and a liquid growth medium.

Decision making system and method of feeding aquatic animals

The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for providing a dynamic decision-making process in relation to feeding animals in water. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method and apparatus for improving feeding and/or farming strategies used in a fish farm. According to a first aspect, there is provided a computer-implemented method for feeding one or more aquatic animals, the method comprising the steps of: receiving pre-processed sensor data in relation to the one or more aquatic animals; inputting the pre-processed sensor data into one or more learned decision-making models, wherein the one or more learned decision-making models has been trained to substantially optimise the rate and amount of food provided to the aquatic animals; determining, by the one or more learned decision-making models using the received pre-processed sensor data, feeding instructions for the one or more aquatic animals; and outputting the feeding instructions from the one or more learned decision-making models.

Feeding apparatus and method for operating a feeding apparatus

A feeding apparatus includes an inner compartment having a first opening; and an outer compartment having a second opening. At least one of the inner compartment and the outer compartment is configured to be movable relative to the other one of the inner compartment and the outer compartment from a first position in which the first opening is out of alignment with the second opening to a second position in which the first opening is aligned with the second opening.

Disclosed is a method and process for manifesting sustainable improvement in fisheries productivity in Ocean waters. This method and process includes (1) selecting a location of the Ocean that is considered both High Nutrient Low Chlorophyll (HNLC), (2) that the location is within proximity to fisheries feeding grounds or migratory routes or within areas that are considered to be fish feeding areas, (3) within this location, a surface sea height anomaly (Ocean Eddy) is defined using satellite s.s.h. data, and (4) applying a fertilizer that contains an Iron compound within the Ocean Eddy.

AQUACULTURE SYSTEM

An aquaculture system is provided. The aquaculture system includes a cultivation pond, a water circulation unit, a water quality detector, and a water processing module. The cultivation pond for storing the cultivation water has a recirculation inlet and recirculation outlet. The water circulation unit is in fluid communication with the cultivation pond to allow the cultivation water in the cultivation pond to circulate through the water circulation unit. The water quality detector is used to detect the quality of the water to obtain water quality information. The water processing module includes an electrolytic gas generator and a control unit to improve the quality of water. The control unit receives the water quality information and adjusts the applied voltage on the electrolytic gas generator according to the water quality information to control the gas species and a ratio of the gases generated by the electrolytic gas generator.

A method of irrigating a saline aquaculture system to control pests is described herein. The method includes acquiring a second set of environmental condition data on a computing device using a sensor coupled to a platform, such that the platform is configured to grow a salt-tolerant plant therein; comparing the second set of environmental condition data to a first set of environmental condition data acquired at a previous time point; determining whether freshwater accumulation has increased or will increase at a future time point on a surface of the platform; when it is determined that the freshwater accumulation on the surface of the platform has increased or will increase relative to the previous time point, activating a saltwater distribution device coupled to the platform; and reducing an accumulation of one or more of: insects, caterpillars, fungi, and bacteria on the surface of the platform.
