Method for Drawing Fish to View
20230000062 · 2023-01-05 ·

A method of drawing aquatic or other animal life in a fish-style tank to a clear side of the tank by providing a shelter structure affixed to an interior wall of the tank that encourages that life to enter by offering protection. The shelter structure does not obstruct people from viewing the fish from outside the tank. Treatments to the walls of the shelter can alter the opacity, color, appearance, shape and other aspects to increase the attractiveness of the shelter to the fish (or other animal), affect the behavior of the fish and provide ornamentation.

Aquarium with adjustable lighting
RE049345 · 2022-12-27 · ·

An aquarium having an adjustable lighting system for enhancing the display of fluorescent objects, such as fluorescent fish, contained within the aquarium under various external lighting conditions, such as a dark room or a brightly lit room. The aquarium comprises a tank and a plurality of light sources. Each light source emits light at a different wavelength spectrum which is selected to enhance the display of the fluorescent object under each type of external lighting condition. An electronic control is provided to control the operation of the plurality of light sources such that each light source may be selectively turned on/off based on the external lighting condition, or chronological criteria, to provide the best viewing experience.

Outdoor Feature

The invention concerns an outdoor bio-tower (10) for placing in a garden or on a patio, wherein the bio-tower (10) promotes biodiversity in outdoor environments. The bio-tower (10) comprises a framework defining a plurality of compartments each providing separate habitats suited to different species of flora, fauna, micro-organisms and/or fungi. The compartments include at least a first internal dry compartment with an access for creatures requiring a dry habitat, and at least one separate second internal wet compartment containing a tray (27) which may retain water and access for creatures requiring a wet habitat. The two internal compartments are surrounded at least in part by external compartments filled with a growing medium, such as soil, that serve for growing plants and that offer insulation to the internal compartments.

Vivarium Stand

A stand for a vivarium has a side wall with a cutout and at least one first magnet closure element arranged adjacent to the cutout. At least one cover is provided that is to be inserted into the cutout and at least partially covers the cutout in an installed position of the at least one cover in the cutout. The at least one cover has at least one second magnet closure element that in the installed position is arranged so as to correspond with the at least one first magnet closure element so that the at least one cover is secured in the cutout exclusively by magnetic forces interacting between the at least one first magnet closure element and the at least one second magnet closure element in the installed position.

MARINE TILES, PODS, TANKS AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF

Portable and interchangeable marine tiles, marine pods and tanks are disclosed. The marine tile typically contains a first face, a second face, and one or more sites for supporting one or more marine organisms, such as coral, and. may contain a tracking device. The marine pod typically contains a first panel having a first slit and a second panel having a second slit. The first panel and the second panel can be interlocked via sliding the first slit into the second slit. The marine pod can have one or more marine tiles attached thereto. The marine tank typically contains one or more coral reef organisms. Water can be pumped into and through the marine tank to flow in the form of a river stream. Typically, the flow of the seawater is controlled such that a consistent temperature is maintained in the marine tank.

Terrarium Lid Spacer
20230055899 · 2023-02-23 ·

Improvements in a space for a terrarium or clone propagation enclosure that allows for displacement to provide even horizontal air flow between the lid and the propagation enclosure. The spaces are configured for installation on the top corners of the enclosure and creates an intermediate environment. With the installation of the spacer(s), the plants are provided with an initial exposure to the future growth environment when the dome is removed to improve adaptation to the drier, more windy conditions, causing them little to no stress when the dome is removed. The spacers can be stacked to increase the air gap between the lid and the enclosure. The lid spacers fit within the lid to retain the lid and minimize side-to-side movement. It also allows for a more stable structure if multiple stacked growing chambers are transported or used with the spacers installed.

APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLING A HABITAT ENVIRONMENT
