A work-piece transfer apparatus, comprising at least one work-piece engagement structure; at least one first robot arm pivotally connected to the work-piece engagement structure; a first motor coupled to the first robot arm and being adapted for translating the first robot arm fore and aft in a generally horizontal direction; a second motor; at least one second robot arm being in operating driving relationship with the second motor and operatively coupled with the work-piece engagement structure for raising and lowering the work-piece engagement structure; and a support structure for supporting the apparatus or portions thereof; wherein the first motor and second motor are operated synchronously to raise, lower, and/or translate the work-piece engagement structure in a fore and aft direction by way of one or both of the first robot arm and second robot arm.

PALLET TRANSPORT SYSTEM, PALLET TRANSPORT METHOD, AND PALLET TRANSPORT PROGRAM
A technique for detecting the completion of work of attaching a workpiece to a pallet is provided. A pallet transport system includes: a transport device for transporting a pallet to which a workpiece can be attached; a pallet housing unit for housing the pallet, a workstation in which a worker is to conduct work of attaching the workpiece to the pallet transported from the pallet housing unit; a machine tool for machining the workpiece attached to the pallet in the workstation; and a control device for controlling the transport device. The control device acquires an indicator indicating progress of the attachment work in the workstation, determines whether or not the attachment work has been completed based on the indicator, and when it is determined that the attachment work has been completed, transports the pallet located in the workstation to the pallet housing unit or the machine tool.
PALLET TRANSPORT SYSTEM, PALLET TRANSPORT METHOD, AND PALLET TRANSPORT PROGRAM
A technique for detecting the completion of work of attaching a workpiece to a pallet is provided. A pallet transport system includes: a transport device for transporting a pallet to which a workpiece can be attached; a pallet housing unit for housing the pallet, a workstation in which a worker is to conduct work of attaching the workpiece to the pallet transported from the pallet housing unit; a machine tool for machining the workpiece attached to the pallet in the workstation; and a control device for controlling the transport device. The control device acquires an indicator indicating progress of the attachment work in the workstation, determines whether or not the attachment work has been completed based on the indicator, and when it is determined that the attachment work has been completed, transports the pallet located in the workstation to the pallet housing unit or the machine tool.

This machine tool is provided with: a bridge which is provided on a base in such a way as to straddle a moving body in a direction (X) perpendicular to a direction of movement (Z) of the moving body at a stroke end (E2) of the moving body; a pallet exchanging arm which is provided above the bridge and which engages with a pallet (P) supported on the moving body and a pallet (P) on a pallet loading station, lifts both pallets (P), and pivots about a vertical axis (Ov) to exchange the two pallets (P); and an arm drive device which is provided projecting upward on the bridge, and which moves the pallet exchanging arm along the vertical axis (Ov) and causes the pallet exchanging arm to pivot about the vertical axis (Ov).

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FAST REMOVAL OF CUT PARTS FROM A PROCESSING SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a removal system and a method for removing parts processed in a processing system (200). The removal system is designed for engagement with a transportation unit (110) which is used for intermediate storage and/or transportation of a workpiece processed with the processing system (200), the processed workpiece comprising the parts to be removed. The removal system comprises a bridge movement system (120) which extends with its central longitudinal axis transversely to the longitudinal axis of the transportation unit (110) and can be moved axially in the longitudinal axis of the transportation unit (110). In addition, the removal system comprises a first parts conveyor system, which is arranged on the bridge movement system (120) and extends substantially parallel to the central longitudinal axis of the bridge movement system. Finally, the removal system comprises control unit which communicates with the transportation unit, the bridge movement system and the first parts conveyor system and provides control commands for the transportation unit, the bridge movement system and the parts conveyor system.

A loading device for a plunge-cut grinding machine for centerless external cylindrical grinding includes a receiving frame, a support body, and a displacement actuator. The receiving frame is open in a gravitational direction and is for receiving a blank workpiece to be machined. The support body forms a support base for the blank workpiece. The displacement actuator is for axially displacing the receiving frame relative to the support body and into a grinding gap of the plunge-cut grinding machine. The receiving frame includes a conveying stop on an axially facing end face. The conveying stop is for axially expelling a final workpiece arranged in the grinding gap.
Method of machining a rotationally symmetric surface of a workpiece and turning apparatus
In accordance with various illustrative embodiments of the present disclosure, a rotationally symmetric surface of a workpiece is machined by a turning apparatus, wherein the workpiece is rotationally driven around a rotational axis, a cutting tool with a cutting edge positioned at the edge of a rake face is arranged relative to the workpiece, the cutting tool is brought into contact with the workpiece, and the cutting tool is advanced relative to the workpiece along a feed direction parallel to the rotational axis, the normal to the rake face being tilted relative to the feed direction, a first axis and a second axis, the first axis and the second axis are perpendicular to the feed direction and perpendicular to each other.
Method of machining a rotationally symmetric surface of a workpiece and turning apparatus
In accordance with various illustrative embodiments of the present disclosure, a rotationally symmetric surface of a workpiece is machined by a turning apparatus, wherein the workpiece is rotationally driven around a rotational axis, a cutting tool with a cutting edge positioned at the edge of a rake face is arranged relative to the workpiece, the cutting tool is brought into contact with the workpiece, and the cutting tool is advanced relative to the workpiece along a feed direction parallel to the rotational axis, the normal to the rake face being tilted relative to the feed direction, a first axis and a second axis, the first axis and the second axis are perpendicular to the feed direction and perpendicular to each other.
