METHOD FOR PREDICTING THE REMAINING SERVICE LIFE OF A SAW BAND, AND BANDSAW MACHINE
A method for predicting the remaining service life of a saw band in a bandsaw machine, in which a behavior or properties of the saw band clamped in the sawing machine are monitored by at least one sensor during operation of the sawing machine. Changes in the behavior or in properties of the saw band over time established on the basis of measurement signals of the sensor device are used for making a prediction about the time at which a band will break. The behavior or properties of the saw band are indirectly monitored using the at least one sensor device by way of detecting changes to components of the sawing machine which are operatively connected to the saw band.
METHOD FOR INSPECTING NORMALITY OF A SPINDLE OF A MACHINE TOOL
A method for inspecting normality of a spindle of a machine tool is provided. Spectral analysis, time domain analysis and principal components analysis are performed on a vibration signal that results from the vibration of the spindle, so as to build a Gaussian mixture model. Then, based on a difference between the Gaussian mixture model and a predetermined reference model, whether the machine tool is operating normally can be determined in real time.
POWER TOOL INCLUDING FALL DETECTION AND AUTOSTOP
A power tool including a motor configured to produce an output, and a sensor configured to measure an acceleration of the power tool along at least one of three spatial axes and generate an output signal related to the acceleration. The power tool further including a controller configured to receive the output signal related to the acceleration of the power tool from the sensor, compare the acceleration of the power tool to a free-fall acceleration threshold, initiate a timer when the acceleration of the power tool corresponds to the free-fall acceleration threshold, compare the timer to a free-fall timer threshold, and stop the motor from producing the output when the timer is greater than or equal to the free-fall timer threshold.
Error measurement method for machine tool and machine tool
An error measurement method for a machine tool measures an error in a machine tool that includes two or more translational axes, a table, and a spindle head. The error measurement method includes installing a masterwork having a plurality of targets on the table and detecting a position of each of the targets using a sensor mounted to the spindle head to acquire a measured value regarding the position of each of the targets and to acquire an error value regarding the position of each of the targets using each of the acquired measured values and a preliminarily acquired calibration value regarding the position of each of the targets. The error measurement method further includes calculating at least one disturbance index value indicative of a degree of disturbance in the measurement for each of the targets, and determining whether the disturbance index value exceeds a preliminarily set threshold.
PROCESSING APPARATUS
There is provided a processing apparatus including a holding table having a holding surface for holding thereon a workpiece with a plurality of devices formed in respective areas demarcated on a face side of the workpiece by a plurality of projected dicing lines, a processing unit that processes the workpiece held on the holding table, an image capturing unit that captures an image of the workpiece held on the holding table, a moving unit that moves the holding table relatively to the processing unit and the image capturing unit in horizontal directions along the holding surface, a touch panel that displays thereon the image captured by the image capturing unit, and a control unit. The control unit detects a line in an image positioned within an allowable region based on a contact line traced on the image displayed on the touch panel and registers the detected line.
PROCESSING MACHINE
A processing machine is provided which can accurately evaluate the results of periodic inspection. This processing machine, for processing a workpiece, is provided with: an information storage unit which, as reference information, stores information that includes multiple pieces of in-process information, which indicate the processing state when the workpiece was subjected to inspection processing, and processing result information, which has been obtained by measuring the product obtained by the inspection processing; an acquisition unit which acquires comparison information, which includes the processing result information and the multiple pieces of in-process information in inspection processing that was carried out after the inspection processing for which the reference information was acquired; a comparison unit which compares the comparison information and the reference information; and a display control unit which displays on a display unit the results of comparison by the comparison unit.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROCESSING SUBSTRATE
A method of cooling a substrate by bringing a cooler into direct contact with a stage on which the substrate is placed, and processing the substrate while rotating the stage in a state in which the cooler is moved away from the stage, includes: cooling the cooler to a target temperature in a state in which the stage is brought into direct contact with the cooler, and cooling the stage to an initial cooling temperature; raising a temperature of the stage; controlling the temperature of the stage to a steady cooling temperature when the temperature of the stage reaches the steady cooling temperature; and placing the substrate on the stage kept at the steady cooling temperature, and continuously performing a substrate processing on a plurality of substrates while rotating the stage in a state in which the stage is moved away from the cooler.
