LAMINATION MACHINE AND METHOD WITH AN IMPROVED BLOCKER SUPPORT
Disclosed is a lamination machine including: a film support for receiving a functional film to be laminated; an article support configured to receive and position the optical article in a predetermined orientation; and an actuating member configured to move the film support and the article support toward each other for laminating at a predetermined pressure the functional film received in the film support onto the optical article received within the article support. The article support is a blocker support configured to receive a surfacing blocker onto which the optical article is to be disposed for lamination, the article support being further configured to transmit laminating forces induced by the predetermined pressure to the lamination machine during a lamination operation.
Method for producing individual spectacle lenses in accordance with a prescription order
A method of preparing individual spectacle lenses (L) in accordance with a prescription order comprises the steps of: (i) blocking, a provided lens blank (LR) as workpiece on a block piece provided from a plurality of block pieces (B) from a block piece store (BL), (ii) processing the blocked lens blank at least at a second surface so as to obtain a blocked, processed spectacle lens (L) as workpiece, and (iii) deblocking the processed spectacle lens from the block piece, wherein the workpiece, optionally in the blocked state, is transported between the steps (i) to (iii) in one of a plurality of provided transport boxes (T). In the method, the block pieces prior to the step (i) of blocking are stored in the transport boxes in the block piece store and, for the step (i) of blocking, are provided in the transport boxes from the block piece store.
Method, installation and system for processing optical lenses
A method, an installation and a system for processing optical workpieces in which workpieces are conveyed to individual processing apparatus or processing lines corresponding to an assignment. The respective assignment preferably takes into consideration assignment parameters, such as the availability and capability of processing apparatus and/or processing lines. The assignment that already has been carried out is examined before the actual or ultimate conveying and/or when there is a change in the assignment parameters and optionally is changed in a corresponding manner, taking into consideration the current assignment parameters, in order to adapt to current circumstances. As an alternative or in addition, jobs for processing workpieces are forwarded to the processing installations at different sites based on corresponding assignment parameters. Optionally, an examination and, as appropriate, a change in the assignment are made when new jobs or significant changes in the assignment parameters are detected.
Spectacle lens manufacturing method
Provided is a block device that mounts a lens shape processing lens holder to a convex surface of a spectacle lens with two alignment reference marks for identifying a distance portion design reference point on a concave surface. The block device includes an imaging unit that images the alignment reference marks of the spectacle lens supported by a support unit from a convex surface side of the spectacle lens, an information processing unit that obtains expected imaged positions of the alignment reference marks imaged by the imaging unit, using information regarding the spectacle lens, when a posture of the spectacle lens supported by the support unit becomes a reference posture suitable for mounting the lens holder, and a display control unit that displays images of index marks indicating the expected imaged positions obtained in the information processing unit and images of the alignment reference marks.

Cleaning station for optical elements
A cleaning station for an optical element is providing, including: an optical element holder configured to hold the optical element; a first drive configured to rotate the optical element holder around a rotation axis coinciding with an optical axis of the optical element when held by the optical element holder; a cleaning nozzle configured to project a cleaning jet of a cleaning liquid towards the optical element; and a separate drying nozzle configured to project a drying jet towards the optical element, the cleaning nozzle and the drying nozzle being configured to move in order to direct the cleaning jet and the drying jet, respectively, successively to different locations on the optical element.
INSTALLATION AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING OPHTHALMIC LENSES
One exemplary embodiment relates to an installation and a method for processing ophthalmic lenses, with several processing devices for processing the lenses. The embodiment includes a conveying device connecting the processing devices for transporting lens carriers to and from the processing devices, and with a transfer device for changing transport tracks as required. According to the embodiment, it is provided that the processing devices are arranged in front of the first transport track and that the transfer device is designed as a pushing device with a fork-shaped guide device which guides the lens carriers laterally and in the direction of conveyance.
Frameless interior rearview mirror assembly
A vehicular frameless interior rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror head and a mounting portion. The mirror head includes a mirror reflective element and a mirror casing. The mirror reflective element includes a glass substrate having a planar front side and a planar rear side. No portion of the mirror casing overlaps the planar front side of the glass substrate of the mirror reflective element. A camera is disposed within the mirror casing. With the mounting portion of the mirror assembly mounted at an in-cabin side of a windshield of a vehicle, the camera views a driver of the vehicle, and when the mirror head is moved by the driver of the vehicle to adjust the rearward view provided by the mirror reflective element to the driver, the camera moves in tandem with movement of the mirror head. The camera is part of a driver monitoring system of the vehicle.
Frameless interior rearview mirror assembly
A vehicular interior rearview mirror assembly includes a mounting portion, a mirror casing and a mirror reflective element. The reflective element includes a glass substrate having a planar front surface, a planar rear surface and a circumferential perimeter edge around a periphery of the glass substrate that extends across a thickness dimension separating the planar front surface from the planar rear surface. A front perimeter edge portion of the circumferential perimeter edge includes a rounded glass surface circumferentially around the periphery of the glass substrate, with the rounded glass surface at least partially spanning the thickness dimension of the glass substrate. The rounded glass surface has a radius of curvature of at least 2.5 mm. The planar rear surface of the glass substrate is coated with a coating. No portion of the mirror casing overlaps onto the rounded glass surface of the glass substrate.
