An index table includes a plurality of chucks for holding a work and transports the work to a rough grinding stage with a rough grinding means for rough grinding the work, a medium grinding stage with a medium grinding means for medium grinding the work, and a fine grinding stage with a fine grinding means for fine grinding the work. A first column extends over the index table and one of the rough grinding means or the fine grinding means is installed. A second column extends over the index table and is independent from the first column, and the medium grinding means is installed and the other one of the rough grinding means or the fine grinding means is arranged parallel to the medium grinding means.

A tire grinding machine includes a frame having a plurality of vertically extending posts. A chuck assembly is associated with the frame and adapted to receive and rotate a tire. A grinding assembly is associated with the frame and is movable with respect to the frame. A counterbalance assembly which has a cable with one end connected to a counterbalance weight and an opposite end connected to the grinding assembly is included. A block assembly may be coupled to the grinding assembly to allow pivotable movement thereof. A calibration adapter may be used to ensure proper positioning of the grinding elements, wherein a level adjuster may be used for this purpose.

The invention relates to a grinding machine, which is suitable for a robot-supported grinding process. According to one embodiment, the grinding machine has a housing, a motor arranged in the interior of the housing, a fan wheel arranged on a motor shaft of the motor in the interior of the housing, and a support plate coupled to the motor shaft for receiving a grinding disc. The support plate has openings for intake of grinding dust into the interior of the housing. The grinding machine furthermore has an outlet arranged in a wall of the housing for exhausting the grinding dust out of the interior of the housing and a non-rerun valve arranged in the wall of the housing. The non-return valve enables an to escape from the interior of the housing, but prevents intake of air into the interior of the housing.

WORKPIECE GRINDING METHOD
A workpiece grinding method includes a groove formation step, a groove removal step, and a full surface grinding step. In the groove formation step, the workpiece is ground by performing grinding feed of a grinding unit while rotating a spindle without rotation of a chuck table, so that an arcuate groove is formed with a depth not reaching a finish thickness on a side of a back surface of the workpiece. In the groove removal step, rotation of the chuck table is started with the spindle kept rotating, so that the groove is ground at side walls thereof and is removed from the workpiece. In the full surface grinding step, grinding feed of the grinding unit is performed while the spindle and chuck table are rotated, so that the workpiece is ground in an entirety thereof on the side of the back surface until the workpiece has the finish thickness.

Disclosed is a device for automatically removing burrs from a riser of an aluminum alloy wheel. The device is composed of a frame, a clamping gear rack structure, a support plate, a servo motor and the like. When a clamping cylinder drives a first sliding plate to move, clamping wheels are controlled to center and clamp the wheel, and the servo motor controls the rotation of the clamping wheels, so that the wheel may rotate while being clamped. When a distance adjusting cylinder drives a second sliding block to move, a first sliding block and the second sliding block move synchronously under the action of a feed gear rack structure, so that a first deburring tool and a second deburring tool move synchronously to adjust the distance between them according to the diameter of a cap slot.
