Clam harvester
Provided are methods and apparatuses for harvesting clams, particularly soft shelled clams. The scoop is particularly configured for digging at sufficient depths into the substrate beneath the clams positions and for shooting jets of water and combinations of water and air to fluidize the surrounding substrate and float the clams to the surface for collection and transfer to a work platform. The structure and active elements of the scoop, as part of an overall harvesting platform or vehicle, which can be precisely controlled, allow for the harvesting or transplanting of soft shell clams without excessively damaging the desired shellfish.
Lobster Snare Spear-Tip
A lobster snare spear-tip that can easily be attached to a spearfishing pole-spear shaft or speargun shaft wherein a user can easily switch from a fishing spear-tip to a lobster snare spear-tip. The user can catch both fish and lobster without having to carry both a pole-spear or speargun and a separate full sized-lobster catching device. The Lobster snare spear-tip can be easily carried in a pocket, clipped to their body or diving gear. If the user encounters a lobster while carrying a pole spear or speargun with a fishing spear-tip threaded onto the shaft they can easily switch the fishing spear-tip and replace it with the lobster snare spear-tip. The user can switch back and forth between spear-tips used for fishing and the lobster snare spear-tip as many times as necessary both underwater and on the surface of the water.

APPARATUS FOR HARVESTING LIONFISH
Embodiments of the present invention relate to an apparatus for capturing lionfish near the ocean floor. The present invention uses two jaws connected at the center by an axle such that the jaws open outward on contact with the seabed to form a ring supporting a loose netting. Embodiments of the present invention further include a deflector located on each jaw that facilitates opening of the jaws when the lionfish capture device contacts the ocean floor. A fish attraction device, or devices, located at substantially the center of the lionfish capture device is capable of attracting lionfish to an area defined by the ring formed by the jaws. Hauling of the capture device causes the jaws to close around and secure the fish that are within its perimeter.
